Wow! This was 70 turns of alternatively delicious and soul-crushing mayhem. Loved it!

This map has 974 territories, but it plays like it has 2K. Its cubic structure and faithful use of terrain checkpoints mean each territory borders only about 3-4 others, which effectively makes everything much farther apart. Also, it makes gameplay much more linear, with all of the camping and nastiness that entails. The accuracy and detail are gorgeous, as well.

Some issues:
- Territory names frequently misspelled
- No links from Maelstrom to northern Kalimdor, E. Kingdoms or Northrend
- Overseas links don't follow game (e.g., Stormwind Harbor to Vengeance Landing)
- Occasionally difficult to tell if territories connect (e.g., western Wetlands territories)
- Lots of broken connections
- At least one connection that shouldn't exist (Temple of the Moon to Dolanaar)
- Some links that should exist, but don't (e.g., Zul'drak Mudpits to Drak'Tharon)
- No zeppelins? :(
- Finally, how about instances as breakout maps?

Thx responding Nathan,
we tested the Map a lot, but it is alway hard to find every missed link at the first try. I am already working in Version 1.1 where (i hope) every link is included.

In a few points i decided to take the gameplay over the content - some links would be to chaotic ;)

With the linear regions i know that was a huge problem from the very beginning. I added many non-contend links to make it less linear but what u see here is nearly the best i was able to do.

Sry for that fault in Dolanar - a leftover of times where Darnassus was only 1 Territory :D

Additional Maps for Dungeons will be hard - they will be even more linear than this one ^^
Maybe i will try a few but frist let me make a v2.0 of my very first map Ishim Voroo ;)

Too many places for armies to get stuck. You end up spending half your time trying to regroup.

Sry that you dont like the map- these "Stuck-Places" did come from the map we used to make the SVG.
We did what we could to open it, but it was not totaly possible.
I would advise to help this out with airlift-cards.

I would like a some more detailed review like that from Nathan. Thats something i can work more with. ;)

Really great map, almost perfect for Warcraft fans. Only Kezan is a little bit too crowded.
