Description

Map based on http://brian-van-hunsel.deviantart.com/art/The-Gravic-Swamp-397125283

Connections between islands are seen through the shadows that connect them together, in order to make the map look more natural.

Until the purple nation attacked. Now every non-obvious connections is stark velvet.

And then the red nation attacked, changing those connections into a burning red. That's what version 1.2 is all about.

Playing WarLight from some time already I often felt like there is some strange vacuum here, some strange void was going through my body while playing overe and over again all the well known strategic templates. It was kind of annoying becouse I never knew what caused that feeling. Answer to my afflictions came with this map. This is what I was missing in WL, I missed a fabulous, pretty, universal map with it's own unique vibe! It's colours and exoticsm will send shivers down your spine. The atmosphere of swamp, an unexplored marshland, mysterious peatland penetrates every single segment of the map. You can almost feel that dense warming fog hidding this untrodden land, concealing uknown creatures...When you will finish taking delight with it's beauty, please notice that the map has also remarkable strategic value: well balanced, size adjusted to both 1v1 and 2v2 games, capabilities of using superbonuses. This all even enhance the pleasure of playing on this map.
If it lacks anything, it would be a template,

Response by map creator Nackickwind on 8/15/2016
Thanks nooooova, but this map didn't exactly take me 7 months, I could have finished it a long time ago, but I was a bit too lazy..
That's a normal connection, the purple connection is actually hidden, which it won't be when I upload the new svg.

Looks great Nack, looking forward to a tourney on it. Bit disappointed it isn't baguette shaped though :(
Response by map creator Nackickwind on 8/15/2016
Not everything can be a baguette Styx. I learned that the hard way a few days ago...

This map is cool-looking and entertaining. It also plays reasonably well.

I had to knock off a star because the overseas (overswamps?) connections are so hard to see. Irregular blue lines against an irregular (slightly) darker blue background do not provide the greatest contrast. Orange or yellow connecting lines would resolve this issue immediately.

Also, it does not appear that Prey Gulped should connect to Fire Devastation (western edge).

Thanks for the review Nathan (coincidentally we have the same name).

I'll make them red then in the next update, as promised in description.

I'll also add a more visible connection there then.

Good map, only too small for my tastes

Good appearance and balanced. Slightly humerus territory names.

Why does it look like the territories here went through a shredder?

Otherwise, decent map.

Level 54 for this piece of crap?
Response by map creator Nackickwind on 8/20/2016
Well it was put on level 54 because too many maps are unlockable in previous levels, but I do admit that level 54 is too much for this piece of shit.
