NinjaNic, this map deserves some really high praise, you implement techniques already seen in warlight in a very unique manner, making them more fun and interesting. Higher land makes for interesting games and slows the game down in just the right way. As for design, it simply is quite beautiful, you've managed to make the map interesting to look at and interesting to play on so great work. Also I love the fact that it is slightly angled as though it is a board game on a desk. Perhaps the only criticism I could make is that the bonus squares are less aesthetically appealing compared to the rest of the map, but that doesn't detract too much from the map. You set out to make a beautiful map but you also made it fun to play on so 5/5.
Wow, thanks for the really nice review! I'm glad you like it so much - as I hope everyone does. I based a lot of ideas (bonuses, territories, etc.) from Medium and Final Earth, so you might notice some of that type of gameplay as well. I thank you personally for noticing the angle! Just that alone was difficult to do, because still to me it looks pretty flat. On the other hand, I wasn't sure what to do with the bonuses, but I used boxes like this on one of my previous maps, so I kept it this way. If you had ideas for them, I'd like to hear it! Thanks again! :)

Another great map, Nic. The mountains are a fabulous and innovative touch.
I think I missed a couple of broken connections in playtesting. The following look like they should connect, but do not:
Egypt - Syria
Egypt - Jordan
Balkan Peninsula - Turkey
Finland - Baltic States
Finally, have you thought about separating Hawaii from California? The two are so far apart that it isn't readily apparent they are part of the same territory.
Thanks for the nice review! And thanks for the missing connections as well - a few days ago, this map was nearly complete, so I made a slight modification on Inkscape and then went to upload it again, but I accidentally uploaded the wrong thing and all my territory information was wiped. :( So I had to redo naming, bonuses, distrib's, and connections, and I was sure I'd missed a couple. Anyway, I fixed them and the new version should be up soon!

Another materpiece. I don't even know what to say other than that this map is very pleasing to the eye. Not the most fun to play (though it is still fun), but it looks nice and has some cool distribution modes. 3.5/5
Thanks Robin Hood!

5/5 Once again, the greatest mapmaker in all of warlight has done it. I dare say this is his best map ever. Pleasing to the eyes aesthetically and excellent game play. I am proud to call the creator of this map my friend.

Nice looking Map, I like that you went with a more geographical bonus set then a nation/country one. Although i find that there isn't a line between Hawaii and California weird, I mean i know that they are the same territory, but it just looks weird. idk.

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't think army numbers could fit in Hawaii, so I made California/Hawaii 1 territory. I thought if I put a sea connection, it might confuse people.

Absolutely beautiful map, and the elevation system adds an interesting angle to an otherwise traditional design. Really sets it apart. Without a doubt one of the prettier maps on the site. Believe there is a connection missing between Korea and Primorsky.

Hi, and thanks for the review! Thanks for telling me about the missing connection, that will be fixed right away. I'm glad you liked the map!
