5/5. A few tricky connections, but otherwise a great map. Good bonus balance. Mountains and other geographic features allow for unique strategy.

Good game, well designed. Historial knowledge is good and correct, which make the game more realistic. We can also learn about Japanese history after playing this good game. Great job!

Very detailed and also very balanced, and I totally love the little rivers throughout the country, they make playing this map feel a little bit more realistic (in real warfare those rivers would have hindered army movements as well). All in all a great map, really fun to play!

Love the rivers obstacles. It adds a lot to the realism and strategy. There is a somewhat unbalanced region in the center that makes it a bit too easy if you happen to gain control of this area early. I had a good balance with my opponent to the north and still had nearly a third of the southern region untouched. it just became waiting them out while I finished taking the southern areas. Still very enjoyable map. Thanks!

Great map, but some of the territories are rather small, not a big issue, just something to note when selcecting map :)

it's very competitive map.
but the middle kinki region is too dizzy to arrange the armies.

Really nice map, only suggestion would be to add some region bonuses similar to the Rise of Rome map.

Pretty good, maybe add Hokkaido? Well it is probably historically inaccurate but the Ainu could possibly get involved... anyways, this map is worth your while.

A great map. The middle seems to be the best place to start.

It makes a great map for anybody who wants to play some sort of medieval Japan game. It's very large and detailed, and it takes a long time to make it across the map, as it would have in that time period.

Great map. Good balance all around. Numerous bonuses create high army games but has numerous chokepoints due to the drawn lines to divide territories

Review by Ool on 3/18/2012.
It's a good map, very detailed. My only problem is the rivers that tend to get in the way of expanding. But otherwise very nice
Review by LordMacKarl on 5/1/2012.
Very entertaining and enjoyable map, however there are some issues with the bonus/province ratio.
Review by Tanelorn on 5/18/2012.
Fun and interesting but with few chokepoints there isn't much strategy.
