This was a fun map, but the bonuses were to high. It was fun at first being able to secure large bonuses quickly, and fairly well balanced, however, once I was able to snipe opponents bonuses the difference was to large. This made it too easy to finish off what had been a nearly equal opponent. Still enjoyed it though.

My absolut favorit Map. Played it 100 Times in different Settings. Very well balanced for Teamplay and FFA.

After 250 Games on this map - it´s still my favorit! In FFA is suggest 5*5 manual Picks in the beginning - so you have about 7 starting Spots from where it´s possible to win the game.

Really enjoyed playing the map, BUT it is NOT BALANCED!

I do not want to spoiler anyone, but whoever has a closer look on the map will notice:

1: Saarland-Dresden. Both are 4 big, but for Saarland you get 6 armies per turn, for Dresden only 4.

2: Bavaria: you get 130 by owning 61 territories. Badenwürtenberg: owning 31 territories will you get 60 armies; NRW 36 territories 80 but difficult to hold. Thats why it is said that whoever holds bavaria wins.

I advice every game creator to override the bonuses or add random wastelands. Otherwise you have to many players with fixed strategies and desperate people not knowing why loosing.

ON THE OTHER HANDSIDE – you have a dozen possibilities with this map. Start in cities, start in Saarland, play with backups or go for bavaria – I actually played this once with random distribution 1v1 and thought I was winning till I was surprised by 120 armies income of enemy. And I had all of bavaria!(overridden bonuses. Niedersachen: 40, Sachsenanhalt 27...)
