This map is quite good but bad at the same time, I cannot really describe it. It has some major advantages and some major disadvantages.
1 - Tone down the bonus'. They're crazy.
2 - I could only find one tile oh which you could be attacked from 4 sides. You should add more to put pressure.
3 - With the bonus'. A player will snowball out of control.
4 - The map is fun. :)

This is a very attractive and well-laid out map. Even the arrangement of bonus colors is visually appealing.
Even better, this wasn't nearly the turtle-heaven I expected. There are a number of ways to outflank your opponents, so the linearity does not become a problem.

You really have to get your start right, allows for strat. in that sense, also in teams, maximizing bonuses can lead to issues when two lines conflict, makes for some good games

I'll give it 3 stars for a nice design. When I first saw this map I thought it was going to be really fun to play and it was for the 1st half of it. The second half wasn't much fun at all though, by the time it was half over I was in complete control and it was just very slow moving from there moving just one square at a time each turn. I crushed it with a gold star my very first time playing and ended up with over 5000 armies. Very nice concept, but the game play was lacking.

Once you're winning there is not really a challenge. The enemy does not stand a chance.
Personally I would give the enemy two starting points (one in corner and one near the player) so they are more of a threat in the later game)

Based on the amount of bonuses on this map the end will always be an inevitable steamrolling slog for whomever has gained momentum/broke an opponent. Interesting at first, but the fun runs out quick.
