This map is pretty unbalanced.
Whoever manages to get the Diamond Brightness bonus is almost bound to win. That 17 army bonus is very easy to defend as it only has two attackable points - both of which require to have the diamond. But the diamond is under constant pressure from every other player, so it's near impossible to defend it AND attack the steadily rising defenses (also it only grants a 10 army bonus - a lot less than Diamond Brightness). So the one who has the Diamond Brightness bonus only needs to defend long enough to be able to take the diamond itself. At this point he has a 47 army bonus and will most likely win in only two or three more turns.
It might be more fair if every (or at least the bottom) part of the Diamond Brightness bonus were attackable from the diamond itself so turtling is a lot harder.

Map is insanely unbalanced. It's pure luck if you can hold the diamond. If you can, it's game over.

Whoever controls the diamond wins. Diamond control is established on Round 1. Ergo, totally useless map.

Once you have the center (from the first move) you can see all moves and build up your forces to gradually take everything.

its based too much on taking just one area.

Estethically pleasing, no technical complaints.
Nice for lottery games.
Otherwise a very limited (in the 6p distribution at least): as soon as one conquers the central diamond, the game is over. And since the diamond is 1 step away from all starting positions, most games last 1 turn. And AI does not know how to behave. Overall little fun.

I liked how the Diamond was the connection between the outer territories and the inner circle but other than that it seems like a King of the Hill type of map.

needs to be slowed down to make a good game but it is brilliant.

The attack pathways weren't completely clear at first but not too bad after the first round or two.

Very exciting to make games with. I usually make games where I rig the diamond, and then, with the right strategy, I usually win.

Interesting for a lottery game but still a very simple map.
