In the event that an open seat is not filled after too long, it will expire and will no longer be advertised on the Open Games tab. This is a safety mechanism designed to prevent undesirable games from clogging up this area for long periods of time. Open seats in real-time games expire after 1 hour, and open seats in multi-day games expire after 12 hours. The host can reset this timer simply by pressing "Change Players" and then "Confirm".

Game creators can define prerequisites that players must meet in order to join an open seat in your game or tournament.

Details

The following criteria are available:

  • Number of days since the player signed up
  • Number of games the player has joined
  • Number of games the player is currently in
  • Number of games the player has completed
  • Number of multi-day games the player has completed
  • Number of real-time games the player has completed
  • Number of times the player has been booted
  • Percentage of the time that the player gets booted
  • Average move speed of the player (in minutes)
  • Whether the player is a WarLight member or not

Game creators can define a minimum and maximum that players must meet for each of these criteria.

Examples

For example, if you only wanted players joining your open seats that have finished more than 30 games before, you could enter 30 into the Minimum box next to "Number of games the player has completed."

Or if you wanted only players who get booted in fewer than 15% of their games, you could enter 15 into the Maximum box next to "Percentage of the time that the player gets booted."
