Exactly why i challenge it.
The chance to win the lottery at least in germany (6 out of 49) is about 1 to around 14 million. The USA has around 320 million inhabitants. They all take part in the "Get killed by a vendor machine lottery". With 11 people getting killed its about 1 to 30 million, making winning the lottery double as likely, as getting killed by a vendor machine.
