If your 1vs1, 2vs2 and 3vs3 stat is 0-10 % you are one of the best. If your stat is 100 -130 % you should play a other game.

As Kain says, ladder ratings are accurate, but narrow.

Win rates are near-meaningless - they only tell you how you compare to the people you play frequently.

Edit: though 3+-team games (or FFAs) are so different than games with 2 teams (or 2 players) that it might as well be a different game, since diplomacy becomes paramount.

Whoa what is meant by the term 'farming'? because if it means creating an alt to continuously beat then i disagree i try to make sure i don't play the same person twice.

Farming is when you deliberately try to match up against bad opponents to boost your win rate. You can play with an alt, but that goes against the rules of WarLight.

EDIT: 70-80%? Against good players? That's quite high. I think if you can beat good players at least half to 70% of the time, that qualifies you as good. Unless you are talking about elite players, which in that case 70-80% is a decent range.

So that would tie into points? You could tell by comparing the amount of wins to their points earned or level.

Not necessarily. Chances are, if you play bad opponents, they will be within the range of levels 1 - 30, which won't give you many points. Playing Real-Time games (which is the most common way to farm) doesn't give you a point boost either.

Well i don't farm but my 1v1 stats are decent i wouldn't say i'm very good but only played auto games so got to know the template. Does that make me a bad player?

Hmm i wanted to pratice for the RT ladder and obviously being a low level i couldn't replicate the templates so i thought joining auto games would atleast get me used to the cards and countering.

NO, This is Farming!

There goes the saying that a picture is worth more than 1000 words: I guess that´s true and even more, when half the population ranks poor on critical thinking and functional reading skills!

Nex, I originally tried the same idea, but once I was able to play the RT ladder, I quickly found out that it uses a set of random templates, only some of which resemble standard 1v1. The ladder you're looking for is the 1v1 ladder, which unfortunately requires a higher level than the RT ladder. I found the RT ladder quite hard to get started on because the templates are so different than what I was used to, and when I tried to play I would always get paired up with someone who actually knew the templates and would crush me. If you want to practice for the RT ladder, you could try playing on those templates as multi-day versions to get used to them; or, just accept a heavy loss rate at the beginning as you learn the templates.

"ppl still farm stats? i thought that died with the Elite clan." - ps

Depends what farming means. Atm I have 89% 1v1, I haven't farmed in the sense that Elite did. I have farmed in the sense of joining random autogames and just playing random people rather than specifically targeting only good opponents.

But then again, winning 60-70% against top players is much better than "good". That's more akin to best of the best - very few people can win 70% of their games vs. top 20 ladder opponents for example.

Ha! With me, it's far easier to know if I'm a noob than comparing stats! I just gotta look at my name.

Oh...yeah...I suck.

Apparently his open challenge really means you must challenge on non-earth maps, with no wastelands, and with multi-attack. Also multi-attack is less luck-based than non multi-attack and wastelands make games all about luck.

Probably have to have a lower winrate than him for him to accept too.

Stats don't tell you how good someone are. They do tell you something through.

1. What someone plays (1v1 etc.)
2. What they are bad at (bootrate, avg. move time,)

Ranked Games

Completed 22 ranked games (20 / 22)

1v1: 20 / 22 (91%)

Yes, I've clearly got a lower winrate than you.
