I was going back through the history of a recent game in which, although I had very thoroughly analysed in-game and probably thought things over way more than I ever needed to, felt that my win was primarily due to getting lucky.https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=10885639
Turn 4 may look dice-y, but it really isn't. Since he didn't deploy any armies in East China when I bordered him turn 2, I assumed that he'd instead use all his armies to try and take 2 bonuses of 3 by the second turn... and since I was in Southeast Asia and Central America was a sht pick in the map layout scenario, I expected him to be in Scandinavia and Antarctica (emphasis on Antarctica), which is why I planned to ambush him there... and besides, if he actually didn't turn out to pick there, I could have easily redirected the leftover stack to take the lot of neutrals to complete South Africa.
Well. What are your thoughts on my game play? My strategies- were they something I should keep so I can further expand in the direction of it in the future or should they be scrapped for more safe maneuvers?
Advice/crticism/what-i-should-have-dones very much appreciated.
