I'd say it's pretty unlikely he legislates according to Sharia Law.

Woo, Obama's going to make America more religious. The republicans are going to H.E.L.L because they do not circumcise their cats, woo Muslim Obama, no more EVILUTION in our schools woo.

As long as he doesn't let his religious beliefs dictate how he reads the law, I'm fine with it. Christians also need to make sure Law and religion are separated. However the problem is Islamic law is much stricter and less accepted. So if he screws up, it will be more evident and have more of an impact.

However, picture the amount of Ted Cruz voters who would read this and think "Hmm, yeah. Islam shouldn't impact how you read the law" (or in Ted Cruz talk "HURR DURR DA MUZLIMS ARR TERRISTS MUH SHARIA PROTECT MURICA")

" @Conservative Protestantism is in essence largely unorganized in America, nor is Islam all over the world (that's why you have Muslims declare jihad on each other throughout history). However Muslims, at least Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims as two separate sects, have a largely pretty uniform view of Islamic law. Also unlike Christians and Jews they won't just keep arguing and not enforce the laws. Hence Islamic rule is actually a possible danger due to its long and functional military, political and legal tradition which no other religion I know of can compete with.

The only religious thought that can compete with Islam is irreligion. Also this competition is not at the same level. "

^ I don't care about Islamic enforcement or trends Vs Christianity. That's not what I am addressing. All I'm saying is I don't care who the man is as long as he does not allow religion to dictate his decisions. You cant use a trend to predict 100% what a man will do. A trend is a trend, not a guarantee ( Kudos to Paugers. He knows why XD )If you judged me based off a of " Trends " I would be worshiping Allah in 7 hours and would be campaigning to allow Iran to have nukes. Judging a man based off a trend attributed to his race or religion is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Every man is his own person and most likely the nominee is a moderate because Obama would have never nominated somebody with an extremist past.
