@ Perrin3088: I am not a racist except for when it comes to Americans and Germans. I am the one to have been applying logic over here, and for some reason some people want to convince others that I am not. I don't know that reason(s), that's why I 've said nothing about them. I just used quite a harsh manner there, this though has nothing to do with racism. Maybe YOU are the one outside the rules of logic. And, most of all, I never cry. When "I don't get my way", what I can do is to get angry, shout, pull ears and so on. (Though I never pull hair, despite women being supposed to do so.) There is a difference between me and trolls, but you can't (or don't want to) see it. Now if the strict way results in me getting banned, I simply won't bother to come back, make a new account and return to a situation that gets more people frustrated than happy.

The rest of you can jump all over Creeping Death if you like, I agree with him myself. It's not unreasonable or trolling to be unhappy about people taking your name and posting crap under it. While I do think that freaking out over it like several have just serves to feed those that do it, I understand why it's done.

So, everyone just needs to calm down. If you think people are acting childish or trolling by making posts about it, then don't act childish and troll yourself by trying to call them on it.

Well, Richard, there are many kinds of racism, in case you hadn't noticed. I know that Germans and Americans are not races, but this doesn't stop anyone from being a racist towards them. As for the second part of your post, I don't know those symbols as I 've not studied logical theory. I guess you think that I tried to pretend to be smart, but if so, you are entirely wrong. I never claimed to be the mistress of logic or anything like that. But if there has been ONE person between me and Perrin applying logic, this is definitely me. His post just above mine is so much of a paradox as you claim your example to be. All in all, your post insults me. Therefore you are too small for my eyes. We are talking about the same thing and just calling it different names, haven't you seen where the confusion point is? This situation actually makes me think that all this argument goes on because we just don't have the same native language. You know, each language has a different way to express things, and mine is rare. So it's very likely that we all are right, each one for his/her own native language... Here we tend to separate racism into racial racism, national racism, business-related racism and so on (but for goodness sake, not racism against tomatoes!)... Racism, as I know it, only has to do with people. Other kinds of racism: religious racism, racism against good and/or bad students, financial racism (which is the exact definition of capitalism in the form we know it right now)... I really hope I made myself clear this time. I am tired of all this misunderstanding and am trying to solve it. At least you can't deny that fact. Ah, let me clarify this as well: business-related racism and financial racism are NOT THE SAME THING. If you consider teachers as superior to salesmen/women, this is business-related racism. But if you don't look at job titles and just think of money income as the ultimate criterion for people, this is financial racism. So, to come to myself, I feel that the average American and German mentalities are wrong in many issues, so when I hear/read that someone is American or German, odds are that I 'll most often disagree with that person. Maybe calling equivalent of "nationalism" in your language with an equivalent of "national racism" - whichever language it is - is correct, but it's not in English. I'm afraid I'll have to cite a dictionary here:

The correct terms you are looking for are:

racist = bigot
racism = bigotry

Racism is bigotry that is specifically applied to an ethnicity. You could make a fair claim to say that Germany has had enough time to blend together that you might be able to isolate (and genetically corroborate) a racial stereotype. The USA hasn't had nearly enough time for that, and is very much lacking in ethnic homogeneity.

In any event, since you are speaking not of ethnic Germans (ie descendants of the Goths, the Vandals, the Angles, and so on) but of German citizens (who might well be east Indian or Turkish &etc) then it's not proper English to say you are racist against them because it is too specific to be accurate. Just say you are bigoted against them and you'll be spot on.
