Okay, my first try gives the same result as Issander had, with weird lines all over the map. Time for round two...

Round two end in the pixels error, time to try my own solution...

In round 6 somehow all ID's are gone :( I guess I'll have to reset them, but that won't be much of a problem with one of matma's generators.
Going for round 7 now...

Now Shockwave Flash has crashed :,(
But I won't give up!

Eventually Issander's solution of simply saving it as a normal svg did it. 11% off the file size. I don't think it will be enough to complete Belgium, but it will get me a long way! The bad thing is that I lost all my bonuses and territory names and connections in the progress. At least I've learned always to save a dupe version when experimenting with files!

Well, the version with just the Netherlands is now public.

At least you now have about 2/5 of the map, and a complicated harbour and airport system to play with. I may have to start the Benelux map from scratch to get it to fit in the size limits, especially if I let it have a minimap like on the Netherlands version. But RvW is currently looking in some methods to make the file smaller, so there's still hope!
