Just finished creating my first map and tested it. Would love to get any recommendations or opinions on it. Here is the test game:

http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=1739353

The bonuses are broken down by counties with a couple of the bigger ones being divided further. Am considering breaking Middlesex down further due to its considerable size. Bonus values done using a formula bytjie posted previously basing it off total bonus territories and border territories.

Thanks for taking a look...

I'd adjust the bonus values for Boston and Suffolk. Boston gives you 10 armies for 11 territs, which is good, but suffolk gives 10 for the same territories plus three extra. in total you'd have 20 armies for 14 territories. I'd thange suffolk to 2

Is Brookline really supposed to be part of Norfolk? Looks on the map like it's supposed to be part of Boston, but I don't know the local geography :)

Moros - I had Boston/Suffolk so high because its the capital and most important part of the state. That said, I do agree that its too high and was thinking of changing it already... will probably drop Suffolk down to 5. Thus I am using the same method I did for the other split bonuses (the full county is worth a quarter what it would actually be)

Yeon - Yes, Brookline is supposed to be part of Norfolk. Its admittedly an odd arrangement that the county has two stragglers but that is how it really is. I kept it at such since I thought it would add a different strategy to the game.

PS: Gay Head, best county name ever! Even tough there's a Slave Lake in Canada.

Moros, its actually a town, not county. There is also a Florida, MA and Peru, MA.

Had the wife all confused when I asked if she wanted to go to Florida this weekend...

Though I gotta say I don't recall helping you with your map..

I can't look at the map (WL complains the game has been deleted and it looks like the map itself is not world-viewable yet), so I'm afraid I can't really give feedback. Let me know when the first version goes live; I'll have a look then.

You should not use the gift card on this map huh?
"Player X gives Gay Head to Player Y" ;)

If I ever have time (don't hold your breath...) I'll try actually creating a map myself, instead of just feedbacking other people's maps.
