Hypothetical humans have no rights: 2/9/2017 19:04:52

Only real humans do.

There is no inherent reason why your greatgrandchildren have any rights at all until they are conceived.

"Right" is a funny word.
Right is something a human gives you. If no one gives you a right, you don't have rights. Slaves have no rights. Not even human rights? Technically no, since no one enforces that right to them.

Technically seen no one has rights, since rights have to be given from one above.... "Human-rights" given by humans to humans. We are giving ourselves rights? That's like saying that I give myself the right to rob a bank. Does that mean I have the right then? What if someone else gives me the right? Is it right to the robbed person then? Or only me? Who could give me that right? And who not?

Many people handle the word "right" like it was something natural. Having a right doesn't make you right. And being right doesn't give you a right.

If I told someone that they are allowed to kill anyone without punishment, do I give them a right then? No, it's more like a promise. If I can enforce that promise, make sure that that person really doesn't get punished, I am giving that person a privilege. Yes that person has a privilege then. What they are doing is right. But only from a limited point of view. A privilege that however only applies between me and said person. If someone breaks that system and somehow removes my ability to enforce that privilege, said person is no longer right.

In my opinion the word "right" is used wrong here. It's not a right, it's more a moral agreement. Yes, we agree on something. Like doing or not doing something.

Edit: To conclude: We don't have rights. We can't give ourselves a right, since right is a relative term.
