Why does the government care what porn we watch?

Will
drumpf
set up a Department of Degenerate Activities, headed by David Duke to eliminate anything non-white and non-Christian, Wally? Including our porn?

There are other ways we can hide our stuff without putting it in the trust of a porn company.

So. I'm just gonna say what i said in the last thread that came up.

I'm pretty sure that the ISPs just had to get your permission to sell your information (which they got in your term of service) and now they just don't have to ask you.

If that's true, then why did they spend so much money pushing this bill through? In order for that to make sense, they must have something big to gain from this, more than "we can take a line out of our TOS that nobody reads"

>ISPs
>The government

>Implying actual government spying wasn't dreamed up by Neocons and Neolibs in the Bush/Obama era
>Implying CNN ever cared about internet privacy

they spent the Obama years talking about the wonders of the NSA

It's another episode of Leftists take things out of context and miss the point entirely

I just want to let y'all know, that in 2014 Pornhub promised to plant a tree for every 100 porn videos viewed in a certain amount of time. 11,000 trees were planted. Pornhub has done more for the environment than any of us here will ever do, just because we wanted to wank.

pretty sure knyte was mocking them for saying 'encryptions' instead of 'encryption' but the difference between http and https is:

anybody with some technical knowledge (your ISP, the government, or some 15 year old sniffing your traffic) can see the sites and pages your visiting. but with https your traffic is encrypted, nobody can see what you're doing on the internet.

(i'm aware that is probably not 100.00% correct and a pedant could correct some minor details but that will give non-technical people a good idea)

it's definitely not just a porn site thing, most major sites use https nowadays. gmail, amazon etc.

it looks like warlight even does:

>Muh ISPS

The NSA and other bureaucracies collect user data and store it with private corporations. The CIA has software (year zero) that can compromise any system, a software that was released to the world at large.

ISPS are not the biggest issue right now and we know that precisely because the mainstream media is reporting on it and Democrats oppose it.
