So I recently made my first map, based on the Waterman Butterfly Projection. I figured I'd start small, only 39 territories. I'd like to know if anyone has any critiques to share, advice to give, or anything else along those lines. Expressing your opinion on various map projections is also welcome.

Very nice map, considering this is your first map you've ever done. Here's a few minor critiques I have with it

1. The large circles seems a bit out of place. I'm assuming it's so it's easier for people to click on the territories, but people can always zoom in to click on the territories if it's too hard to click on them

2. For the Ukraine territory, it also includes the Baltic Countries and Belarus, so its a bit inaccurate. A suggestion for that would be "Eastern Europe" or something along those lines.

Besides that, looks pretty good and a creative world map design

The large circles are for territory numbers. The Ukraine, I see how that would be better, thank you.

I really, really like it. There needs to be a larger variance in projections that are represented on Warzone.

That said, I do have one critique: the territory density. Some areas have a ton of little territories, while others have very few, large territories.

To put it in perspective, the US, China, and Europe have 22 of the map's 39 territories; that's more than half.

Brazil, South Africa, Canada, and Russia could all be split into 3 territories or more.

Silk Road, India, Arabian Peninsula, and the rest of Latin America and Africa, could all be split into at least 2 apiece.

Oceania has the potential of 7 or more territories.

If you don't want to do that, you could go the opposite route and combine some of your smaller territories together. Japan, for example, has no need to be split into 2.

It's not the size that's the problem; there are plenty of good, small maps on WZ. It's just the way the territories are spread out, if that makes sense.

Regardless, it's a good map, especially for a debut map. And hey, it's a hell of a lot better than my debut map, so who am I to judge.

I understand the critique, and I don't disagree that it seems unevenly distributed, but I was trying to make the distribution somewhat based on GDP and the US and China really dominate that market, hence their over representation.
