there are lots of jerks everyone online--the anonymity brings out the worst in some people. i don't think at all that this is confined to verbal abuse vs. women. please report abusive or offensive language and simply blacklist the offenders so you won't be subjected to them again. i use the custom notes for everyone i blacklist so i can recall exactly why i blacklisted them. it takes some time but its worth it.
