He shouldn't lose any of those 5 games, they are all against very average players.

He will end up in the top 5 either way. Further proof of the ineffectiveness of the ladder, as if any were necessary.

so long as sze, timi and dead piggy play the ladder -- with their main accounts ;) -- the only person capable of sniffing 1st is dreuj. but cracking first will be nearly impossible the closer any new player gets to 25 games completed, if the player can't get there after 15 games.

you'll be in the top 15. with time you could get to first. but it's not as formulaic as the 2v2 ladder. 2v2 ladder is easier: win 3-4 key games and you're king. 1v1 requires winning at least 70% of your toughest games (or getting a lot of lower rated opponents). you'll need some luck.
