Should I have went for the West or East Africa bonus first? If I went for east i'd risk being countered by South Africa, going for West means the threat is not so huge. However,I had a feeling sumemer was in South America, so going for West Africa was dangerous too. Another possibility is the scan bonus, although i know that summer was in Greenland. WHich bonus would you have gone for and why?

Well to be honest I think you did the best you could (you did win.) Taking west Africa first and building up that bloc in Africa to counter any presence to the south or west is best thing you can do. Remember you can use the large territory of the east Africa bonus to crush opponents in south Africa. If the game had continued I would have used the Scandinavia starting point to attack Greenland while also attacking/defending in Africa.

No question in my mind. First turn should have been you hitting Nigeria with 8 from Chad first order.

i'd actually go for EA first, you had it double picked and SA was an unlikely counter and wouldn't hit until it was too late anyway. you could then proceed to take nigeria with a big stack so you could take WA safely and sabotage SA
