My profile says I am currently playing in 2 games. I am not playing in any games. When I checked "Active Games" I got two annoying role play games show up. In one game I deliberately got booted to end the misery. In the other I used gift cards to commit suicide.

How does that qualify as "Currently playing in 2 multi-player games?"

Currently, I am dead in both games. If you are reading this, Fizzer, you might want to change the language on the profile to better reflect reality or keep the current language but change the way you count games one is "currently playing" (eg, my number should be 0, based on the language used).

It says at the bottom "Statistics on this page can be up to 30 minutes out of date"

Did you just get out of 2 games recently? If so, be a bit patient and it will update. Booted and eliminated games don't contribute to that number.

For the last week my profile has always said that I have those two games.

When I had 2 games (that I am playing, ie, I am not booted or eliminated), my profile said I have 4 (it adds the 2 ongoing games others are playing but I have long been booted or eliminated from weeks or months ago). When I was "playing" in 1 game, my profile said I was "playing" in 3. Now I am not "playing" in any games, and my profile still says I'm "playing" in 2.

Shouldn't being booted or eliminated count as a form of death? If I die, I am not living/playing. There are other filters to still be involved in such games: if I want to help teammates, I can chat and the My Games filter that shows chat would let me see the game.

But the role playing games in question last weeks or months. They are FFAs. So there aren't teams per se. So, in essence, if I'm killed off in such a game, there is no need for me to go back and play the role of the ghost of a dead king to excite the role playing crowd. Booted/eliminated = dead and the game shouldn't be considered active (though it could be filtered as "You are dead but others are still playing," in case I wanted to go take a look.

Also, if I decline a game, shouldn't I not be able to read the chat? There are 2 role playing games I declined that I keep seeing chat from. I'm not interested in the game. That's why I declined it. Why should I care if NoobSchool is making an alliance with MathWolf or if {rp} Player 1 is impersonating King Henry V while talking to {rp} Player 2, who is impersonating a made up Holy Roman Emperor?

It seems Fizzer made a change. I have 0 games now. Maybe the game count for others who were booted/eliminated has also been decreased.

This is good for psychological reasons: If you have 5-10 such games and 20-50 other games, looking at your profile and seeing you have 5-10 more active games than you actually have would be like being overweight and stepping on a scale to see you are 5-10 kg/lbs heavier than you truly are.

Only if you see games (or weight) as a negative thing, which not all people do.

I didn't change anything -- it's always been that way. However, the profile doesn't update right away, which is what's causing your confusion. This is why it says at the bottom that statistics can be out of date.

I've had 2 Battle Island games show up as still active although there were concluded a year ago... Starting to get on my nerves ;)

More confusion: How is a 30-minute update of profiles related to a week-long issue of having 2 games being shown on my profile but not in My Games?

Was there a lag in the profile update? A lag of at least a week?
