Fact: 10% of the population has some form of colur blindness.

Simulation videos

Protonopia : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZLABgekBfI
Duternopia : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RuOt28orRI
Tritanopia : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGNDXM5DLPo

in each of theese videos there is the normal picture on the top-right corner , if you cant see any differnce , you might have colur blindness.

Colur blindness can be caused by :

● Diabetes
●Having a father / mother of colur blindness
●Eye injuries
●Cataracts
●Certain drugs and medication ( some are temporary effect )

Protonopia : This is a condition when the red cone is missing and it confuses the green cone and people who have it see black at the end of the visual spactrum so technically you can only see blue and yellow. This affects up to 1% of people

Duternopia: This is a condition when the green cone is missing , and confuses the red cone so like protonopia you can only see blue and yello. Unlike protonopia when you see red you might see it as dark yellow .

Tritonopia : A condition where the blue cone is missing , This does not confuse the green or red cone . You can only see in green and red and can't see blue and yellow.

Monochromacy:A condition where all colur cones are missing , so you can only see in grey-scale.

Anomalus tricromacy

Anomalus trichromacy is a condition where all 3 colur cones are present but one is alterd in sensitivity to either red , green and blue

Protonomally and Duternomally : You see red as orange or orange-yellow depending on the serverity

Tritonomally : Yello is seen in a decreased range in the spectrum and blue starts to look green depending on the severity.

Tests for Colur blindness : the isahira test ( no link is put since there is many websites ).
