What do you mean by "wasted potential"?

Very messy territories, both borders and lines are very scruffy. Very mediocre finished map.

Possible but I know now a lot more about map making so I can make better maps , and I think this map isn't a really good map but good enough that people will play it ;), better then a stupid lottery map ;P

Visually, it's a big downgrade compared to the original and nothing exiting or interesting has been added. It's just a less-appealing version, imo.

it seems some numbers in bonuselinks are out of place, you can manually shift them by making nearly invicible parts outside the bonuslink, because the number is always at the exact center. More information here https://www.warlight.net/Forum/22297-numbers-bonuslinks

I do not agree...
This is not the best artistic map, but I've seen far worse borders and lines on other warlight maps. I think this map will be rated above the average rating of all maps combined, but it won't be a top map. like the map of fire and Ice (for example)

My guess is that the borders/lines are different because the map is simplified. (is that true?)
My tip is to avoid the dubbel connection lines between continents from 1 territory connected to 2 territories (like the falkland islands connected to 2 different adjactant territories in Afrika.

Seriously? Every border overlaps and in some cases has big spaces between them. Just zoom in on the Spanish coast for example and see how bumpy and strange looking it is. It doesn`t look simplified, it looks way to detailed and like Apollo said, `scruffy`.

I had to 'ctrl+l' (making it more simpel) like 3 times, because the map was in first place 4 times to big to upload on warlight design, that is the biggest reason why it looks now not really good

It's looks like you simplified England and Ireland (for example) and that doesn't look great either. Compare that to Spain or the Netherlands (for example), they are too detailed. If you r drawing with a pencil your smoothness needs to be higher. You can do this by clicking on the tool, at the top tool bar you will see a bar that you can drag along to select the smoothness. You can move and delete nods as you plz.

Why does New Zealand (which has 2 territories) have 4 bonus armies while Russia (which easily has over 50 territories) also have 4 bonus armies.

Yes yes I know Australia is a continent but mainland Australia and Tasmania by itself is a Country with separate states on the map he has organised Mainland Australia to look like a continent with separate countries.
