Hey everyone,

So there's a lot of us who play this template on a daily basis. I was wondering how some of u may feel about trying to make it a Quickmatch template. I added it to the voting list and added 3 of my votes (I think that's the limit it gave me). I guess I'm putting this up for discussion to see if this is something we're interested in. I know the benefits of Quickmatch templates, but not too sure if there are drawbacks, so wanted to open up the discussion.

If this is something you all are interested in I guess go vote for it. We would need around 80 votes to get it in.

If you need help voting. Go into Quickmatch and click on the red button called "Voting". Next you look for Kabix 2v2 (we are currently on page 3) and add as many votes as you would like.

May you please add some details on what is special about this template and how it is better than others in QM?

Wohoo, up to 9 votes on page 5.

Its 0 income, commanders, plenty of gift cards to finish off bonuses.

Well, it's a relatively short game because of the size of the map and the close proximity of 4 commanders.

Since non-members have been allowed to create games with commanders, this template has become a standout on the Open Games Dashboard. Because of the 0 Neutrals the game starts off pretty quickly and newer players have to get used to the faster pace of playing. Your team is also given 8 gift cards and 2 blockades and that's it for the entire game so you gotta use them as best u can. Game ends on both commanders being eliminated or both teammates surrendering. Once your commander dies it doesn't mean you lost if your teammate is still in the game. Gifting off the right territories to your surviving teammate can give them the edge to bring home the win. I think this template is also generally just fun and easy going.

you have my votes, but the example game you gave, uses cyclic move order. I prevere no luck- cycle, to make the game easier to play.
Also i prevere warlords distribution above full distribution to make the distr. more balanced.

Happy to have your vote. And yes there a lot of different versions of this game but I feel like over the past months we've come to a main version. So yeah, when you go to the Template in Quickmatch to submit your vote you'll see the settings are No-luck and Random Warlords, just like you like. (The game I posted as the example was just the most recent i found on the Dashboard)

But thank you for clarifying that. I guess this is why I created this thread so we could talk about these little things, like our preferences because I think it's important. Also, I didn't create this template and really have not done anything to improve it I've just observed certain patterns amongst those who play it daily.

Nice, thank you! Yes I've been trying to tell everyone about it. There's quite a few of that play this and also play Quickmatch so I thought it would be nice to have this in my QM options because currently I only have 3 templates active on QM and it's a bit boring tbh.

Also I like looking at the qm leaderboards and wondered where a lot of us would be ranked if we had a leaderboard for Kabix 2v2

Haha... you should vote for it! It's a lot more accessible and easy to play than Paultec. But I do like the Paultec template.

I think with Kabix it'll be good to have another 2v2 template on QM besides Fight of Europa. I know there's Strategic 2v2 as well but there are a lot of noobs and Final Earth is not my fav map tbh (Don't know how others feel). Also Europe 3v3 is the only other team game of QM and it's almost impossible to get a game.
