So i know we get a lot of flak on here because of our preference for fast games (10-12 hour boots). So we are trying to appease the masses by compromising and tinkering with our offical game settings. We would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

We now use 16 hour auto with 8 hours initial banked time. We also have added a 10% bank time rate. We figure people can save up banked time for the weekends.

We hope this is a good compromise to keep the games going without people getting booted.

10-12 hour boots is a bit tight (you figure you might have 8-9 hours of sleep in there). 16 is much better I think for a fast game. I would just make sure you have all boots the same (don't let people manual boot earlier than auto). Then you can't get complaints. And post boot time in the game title to be safe. If you do those, there should be no complaints. You don't like the settings...don't join.

Thats usually our motto, but people still complain. Direct and Auto are the same, we arent going to put the boot times in the title because we like to make funny names, but we do put a disclaimer in the message.

Well, the time should be highlighted as well. But it is still nice to have the boot in the title because it is obvious on your game list. It is less of a problem now though with the dashboard. Perhaps those people are still using the my games link rather than the dashboard?

On the app it isn't as obvious as the dashboard, but the app still lists all boot times underneath the game name.

School (In America) 7-8 Hours
17-19 Hours > 16 Hours

20 - 24 Hour would do best

I get that benjamin, but as ive stated before if a person cant handle the commitment of a faster game they shouldn't join

and don't think I am defending them... I am the kind to wait 3-5X the boot time for the first time or two they pass it, since a win by boot isn't much better than a loss.
