Of course its the USA. WE WON TWO WORLD WARS SINGLE HANDLY.

I do hope this was meant to be a poor joke. Even as such its in really poor taste as millions of Europeans would testify The USA came in right at the end of both having sat on their arses for the majority of them

Do you really see africa taking care of its self? S korea is at war with n korea so we have a base their. We were at war with japan, italy, germany. Norwegian, Scotland, spain, greece, Belgium and Indonesia. were Allie basis from the wars. Philipines was from the Spanish American war. All the countries that end I Stan are Russian left overs that are poor. 911 is all the basis in middle east.

Sometimes I wonder if the U.S should go back to isolationism. Shut down foreign bases, withdraw all troops, and ignore the world except for whatever trade is needed. It's a large country with enough resources to be almost completely self-sufficient if the proper effort was put forward.

Good intentions or not, anytime the U.S tries to help someone it usually goes bad and the rest of the world starts hating and crapping on them for it. Might be better to just watch our own hemisphere and let other countries sort out their own military issues.

First "you" were not at war with spain. Spain didnt even participate in WW2. "You" earned a lot of money selling weapons to the fascist Franco-regime.
"You" were not at war with Belgium and Scotland either. Do you have that from a comic book?
"You" were not at war with Greece either, Greece was occupied by Nazi Germany as well.
"You" were at war with Norway after it was occupied and had a puppet government established by the German Reich.

The bases in Germany, Italy and to some extend in Japan resulted through occupation. "You" were certainly not called in there to help.

In indonesia "you" helped indonesia so much as to rid them of the netherlands, to occupy the vaccuum of power.

In africa, "you" had not as much involment as it still remained the playing ground of the old world. With a few exceptions of course. "You" helped Egypt rid themselves of the British, French and Israelis (in concert with the Soviet Union, one of the few times when USA and Soviet Union cooperated against other nations) And the latest history where "you" helped Al-Qaida to remove Qaddafy from Lybia.

The world would definitely be most grateful, but this is not going to happen unless there is a revolution or a meltdown in the USA.

The USA never had any good intentions. This is naive and ridiculous and basically this is the biggest misconception of US foreign policy by US Americans. It was always only serving the interests of the US elites.

I really wouldn't mind that much if someone got all of the idiots in the US into a tower and threw a large missile at it. Fortunately no-one here would be in there of course...

And if tasmania got independence then all my aussie friends would cease to be aussie which is bad :)
I was kidding BTW, I live in Adelaide and even in our backward, oldpeople filled dimension we haven't heard tasmania is getting independence

Sought this but I won't deny since I don't know.

We had basis theRe during the war to help them. You misread.

True. But still stability after a war.

Well if US has done nothing good then all the other countries must have done nothing.

I will be the first to admit that the U.S. has made and continues to make many mistakes with foreign policy. It has been controlling of other countries in ways that were in our interest and not in the interest of the people living there (like supporting dictators). I don't think you can conclude everything the U.S. has done has been intentionally evil, however. Certainly the claim cannot be made that what the U.S. has done was any more evil than any other country. Someone mentioned that the U.S. was sitting on its arse during WWII. The reason behind this was we didn't want to get involved in another war started in Europe after WWI. It is likely that U.S. involvement in the war tipped the scales to the Allied side. After WWII, the U.S. found itself in the position of stopping an aggressive Soviet Union (with the help of European allies). The U.S.S.R had horrible human rights and dominated eastern europe for many years. The U.S. organized the Berlin airlift to help Germans in Berlin excape occupation. Would the iron curtain have fallen without help from the U.S.? I'm not sure on that one, but maybe not. It is an undeniable fact that without U.S. intervention, Taiwan would be communist and part of China. South Korea would also be occupied and probably ruled by Kim Jong Ung today. I think the area of the world the U.S. has made its biggest mistakes is in the middle east. Early mistakes and support of dictators erroded trust and stoked anti-U.S. sentiment. Invading Iraq likely gave Iran more power and allowed groups like ISIS to thrive. Anyway, it is certainly a mixed bag.

The world needs a super-power. Pick your poison.

Nazi Germany?
Imperial Japan?
America?

Sorry if your ideals don't align with the present power and you have a kernel of sand stuck in you.

Look what happens when the a super-power withdrawals from the Middle East, a new one steps up and starts beheading people causing a mass exodus.

ISIS a superpower? another ridiculous statement

ISIS is an Al-Qaida Splinter group, Al Qaeda was created and funded by the USA. Now the USA supposedly uses Saudi Arabia and Qatar as proxies to continue supporting those groups.
They were used to rid Lybia of Qaddafi and they were used in an attempt to rid Syria of Assad. That was an endeavour that nearly succeeded had not the Hezbollah decided to take part in the Syrian Civil war and back up Assad.

Its ridiculous to assume that ISIS would have any chance of survival without foreign support. True is that they have access to some oil fields, from which they could sell crude oil to low prices and that they looted the central bank in mosul for 429 million $, but there is a hook. You are rich with approx. 2 billion $ when you are some radical guerilla, but if you have to establish a working civil state in the occupied territories, you are not that rich anymore.
Militarily they are far from being a superpower. The middle east has been subject of an arms race for a very long time. Turkey, Israel, Egypt and Iran all compete with being the strongest regional military power, but certainly not ISIS.

Until something bad happened that some country wasn't strong enough to control, than they'd be mad at us for not doing anything about it. Politics is a game that you can rarely win over everyone with.

You're right. Should of let Saddam Hussein stay in power, he was a just ruler. Let Gaddafi have his spot too. Terrorist organizations? They'll figure it out on their own. Only those evil elites would want us to do anything about this.
