It's ok.

I have to disagree though. A desperate person thinks of their actions and weighs the pros and cons. Although this may be dependant on situation but generally most of the time it is weighed.

crime is passionate or desperate. I would think that rapists don't go and rape every woman they can get away with usually, no? Thieves don't go smashing bricks through every shop they can find and taking the tills no? People generally don't like to commit crime.

Why not the sharia law (according to the Islamic state) then:
-Steal something:lose your hands
-Woman adultery(as only women commit sins) Kill her throwing rocks
-Apostasy or say Muhammad is a pedophile pervert: Decapitation after a great torture
- Kill infidels and anyone who disagree with you, kidnap women and make them your sex slaves, destroy cultural monuments, books or anything not linked with Islam: You get a ticket to Heaven with 7 beautiful virgins...

I hope you all realise that when Colonel posts his goal is to post controversial threads and wait for the forum mob to come in, you are almost always giving him the reaction he wants.

The country with the highest crime rate is sure as hell not the USA.

Edit: What Colonel said is total amount of crime, in which case his list is accurate.

Honduras has the highest crime rate in the world.

Crime statistics like Colonels are BS. You have to take in account both population and willingness of people to report crime.

there is a saying in south park that goes:
"if you want to cripple a cripple, don't f***ing break his legs!"

Apply this to murderers and see the result
"if you want to murder a murderer you don't f***ing kill them!"

maybe send them to jail for 20 years...

So what you want to give criminals live sentance so that your money will be spent on a person who committed a crime, so that he can live free of work and responsibleity Untill he dies.

In US capital punishment is more expensive then sending a person to Life without parole. So money-wise capital punishment is a no-go.

Dreamer i'm just putting you in front of your own contradictions. Religious people says that every life is sacred and only god should be the judge over one's life, and yet your argument is that we should end peoples lives to save money. What an abject idea. Greed over human life, no forgiveness, how jesus of you. Plus no justice system is infaillible, so innocent people are bound to be murdered by justice.
The argument that there is less crime in countries with capital punishment is actually valid. Dictatorship with a police state and very few freedom for the citizen have very low crime rate. On the other hand, i wouldn't like to live in such a country. The bigger question is "should we sacrifice freedom over safety (or the illusion of safety)?". If the us wants to lower their crime rate, they should ban guns and legalize drugs. (i can see you coming with the stupid argument: "yeah lets legalize crime to lower the crime rate").

Really? I think a 45 caliber bullet cost 30 cents? I'm still unsure of this are you sure?

1. Their life is sacred but they have done harm to another sacred so they get some form of punishment.

2. Their criminals accused of murder, thivery and
rape. Im spending money so they can live for free. And they don't give a shit that I'm doing this.

What an abject idea. Greed over human life, no forgiveness, how jesus of you.
When you did something you shouldn't have done your mom or father we're disappointed in you. They love you. So they punish you. If they haven't punished you you would continue what ever you were doing that was wrong and it would just get worse. They forgave you but still punished you. They love you yet punished you.

Plus no justice system is infaillible, so innocent people are bound to be murdered by justice.

Yes that would be a problem I admit.

The argument that there is less crime in countries with capital punishment is actually valid. Dictatorship with a police state and very few freedom for the citizen have very low crime rate.

Then why are you picking a fight?

1. Making innocent people helpless won't save them. And even if you ban guns "If there is a will there is a way" so if someone has the urge to kill they will find another weapon.

2. Drugs ruin people lives.

Meth heads

Weed just lowers ambition to fix problems.
