Account hacked or login bug?: 6/6/2015 22:34:45

I also noticed that, while WL was under heavy load, my blacklist kept changing. At least two players that I'd never blacklisted - Angry Panda and Andres Ciguena la Arana- temporarily displayed as blacklisted in the game listings on the Multi-Player Dashboard. They disappeared from the blacklist when I refreshed.

Makes me wonder how WL actually stores this data. Part of me strongly suspects it's really inefficiently handled.

That BL thing is a bug I have reported before. Don't believe it is connected to the heavy load or login bug as that was not a problem when I had it.

For the BL thing Fizzer responded with,

" ... You are right this is very strange, I spent some
time looking into this but I haven't found the problem yet. I'm going to
continue looking into this. ..."

so as always, send in a bug report, with as many details as you can.

^ Yeah, I've also noticed it working other times. Is Warlight open source? The FizzerWL GitHub only seems to have CLOT stuff.

No, WL is closed source. In fact, even the open source CLOT stuff is just demo-code; the part of WL which handles CLOT (which CLOT-ladders "talk to") is not publicly available.

Right, I knew that CLOT was really just using the API and nothing else. :/ Darn. I expected that answer, but it still sucks to hear.

Why...!? If you genuinely believe you may be able to help track down this bug, just email Fizzer and offer your assistance; if you have credible experience, he just might give you a copy of (parts of) the code. Remember, "Closed source" just means it's not publicly available, it does not mean it won't be shared with anybody at all.

Don't get me wrong, it's certainly a long shot (I've never heard of him doing something like this), but if you're that bummed out by it... maybe it's worth a shot?
