Description
With this map I hope to wake people's interest in the Sámi- a European indigenous group that is often overlooked from an international perspective. The map reflects the great variety of the dialect continuum of the different Sámi languages, and contains information that highlights their vulnerability, but also their battle for a place in this world.
Important note: All bonus names are written in mostly English, while the territory names are written in the local Sámi variant if I could find it.
This map is based on a map by student Nele Peschel in 2019, all credit goes her and the Vienna University of Technology.
