Justinian's able general Belisarius was treated to a Triumph in Constantinople, then given the task to reclaim the heart of the Roman Empire: Italia and the Eternal city of Rome. The Italian peninsula fell to the forces of Odoacer back in 476, bringing an end to Rome in the West. Odoacer's Kingdom has sice fallen to the Ostrogoths, who as of now are embroiled in a succession crisis. Can Italia now be restored to the resurgeant Empire? |
