It was too good to last. I'm Warlight addict from Macedonia, country with $200 average monthly salary, so $30 is too much for me. The bright side is that I'm not going to spend 4-5 hours daily here, hopefully that will help my dreams with Warlight strategies to stop:). Bye. Damjan/General Motors/Jules Winnfield

I don't want to sound harsh but most of the people complaining here are free loathers, that is all. Good riddance. I have no time for people who cannot make a constructive and rational argument. I agree with an earlier point that people who make decent maps (i.e. put in hours to make the game better for everyone else) should get a heavy discount. Donations perhaps? I wouldn't mind tacking an extra $5 to my fee so that some people that sincerely love the game can keep playing. This way, If you simply cannot afford it, fine, but say something that fits the criterion where you think its reasonable that Fizzer or somebody else should foot the bill? Or, do what most of you are doing and keep making exaggerated and erroneous statements like the site crashes every day. It shouldn't be up to Fizzer to defend himself on why he hasn't charged a dime for three years and has decided to - my bad, NEEDS to now. It's rather obvious why.

I was playing WL obsessively. I only played alone and I was considering either quitting or joining up with the community. Now that I'm restricted to only 5 other players there is really no point in playing anymore.

Thanks for the fun and thanks making it easier for me to quit.

This free loather is saying bye bye.

The 3v3 Europe is the only thing I enjoyed playing. Unfortunately, warlight will lose a lot of members due to the restrictions. I'll keep playing I guess but I doubt there will be many 3v3 up for grabs now. I won't complain too much as I won't be paying but that's because I'm not willing to pay for online games.

Fair enough warlight.

Orionov, spend 9600 and countless hours making your own game to combat the evil of greed ;)

Also, you only need one of your friends to purchase an account and then you can have him create all the 3v3 games or any other game type you want.

It's hardly greed. It's not like you have to pay to play period, just certain things are restricted. Fair enough in my opinion. These games can't go on free forever. Everyone likes to see a return on their investment, why should this be any different?

persnally, i don't see it as a return on investment.. i think it's more he has a choice between shutting down warlight, or charging people to play it.. and he decided this was the lesser of two evils.. but idk for sure, no insider information ;)

I'm not sure either but even if he is making some money off of this, why not? He put in a lot of work and effort into the game and kept it free for a very long time and it is still free to a certain extend. If he is making money, I don't begrudge him a bit and am glad for it.

$30 dollars an hour is very cheap. consider, the average american make 11 dollars an hour. the average european makes 8 dollars an hour. so that would be roughly 2 hours 43 minutes for an american to earn $30 dollars. and 3 hours 12 minutes for a european to earn $30 dollars.

Even if your say 15 and don't have a job you could go shovel snow for like $10 a driveway. At a rate of say 1 driveway every 45 minutes you could have $30 in 2 hours 15 minutes.

I myself will be buying membership next pay check!

federal minimum wage in US is 6.75 last time i checked, that would mean less than 5 hours of work...
