I clicked on the darklords icon next to darklordio and bump i saw i was invited

Clan Invite system is broken. When you go to the Invite page as a Manager, you just get everyone on your Friends List with the option to invite them. Given how broken the Friend List tends to get with auto-add enabled, with enough clicks you can invite most active players on WL. Then you just PM a bunch of the invited players or otherwise get their attention and you get a good portion of them easily due to the general confusion about clans. Once you get a good number of players (50+), even the broken ranking system works in your favor as you can claim to be #20 (and eventually #1).

So the DARKLORDS are just a beautiful example of what happens when you have a single developer who likes to come up with convenient excuses instead of leveraging the developer community to improve the game.

Not really. I don't particularly care about this site. I use it, I enjoy it, and I find myself amused by how broken it is. I don't appreciate Fizzer's decision-making, but it's his site (not mine) and I'm not going to get angry at him for that sort of stuff because that's a complete waste of my time.

If I were actually angry, I'd be pitching a third-party clan system and promoting a browser extension that replaced Warlight clan links with links to that system. But that sort of anger takes time and effort.

He REJECTED me , like 2 months ago. He was too late for a response.

I have a friend in Darklods called Hohenzollern.

Since I'm impatient I joined HAWKS instead.

I wasn't invited? Meh.

I wouldn't mind seeing the invite system only work for people you have played a game with. Why should people be inviting players they have never played with anyway?

I find myself very amused by these people reading this thread, finding out they've been auto-invited for no reason, and then excitedly joining darklords. Not sure why...It just really, really amuses me.

Darklords.. Just a pointless clan with soon to be a graveyard clan for players who "accidently" forgot the game.
