I played fantasy football (usually 3 or 4 leagues a year) for probably 10 years before not playing the last couple because some friends lost interest.
I have always wanted to do an offline one because usually you have 2-3 that can't make the live one, get auto drafted and have a big disadvantage. Then you may have those people lose interest and not set lineups.
i played a dynasty baseball league for years that used a timer for picks, was set at 2 hours for each pick daytime then timers were paused overnight. It did take ages, and not sure how easy it would be to set up, that league was on CBS.. but it really was great fun waiting for your turn and with plenty of time to analyse your next pick. some days we would get like 20 picks in, some days only 6 or 7. I can certainly reccomend doing it this way if it can be worked out
colts use the same game plan almost every game because they are extremely one dimensional. have you seen them try to run the ball? its pathetic.
but im a colts fan so i am rooting for them. my prediction is the colts lose to the patriots in the afc championship game, brady gets murdered by a crazed hoosier, and then the patriots still beat the seahawks in the superbowl for the lolz.
So, I would suggest doing my chat game method, but restrict the hours to times that people can actually get on hopefully (like my 6am to 2am example). It will be impossible to please everyone on there, but if you allow away picks (submitting a list of players), then it will be fine.
Just use snake method like all other drafts, so the 10th player in round 1 gets 1st pick (11th overall) in 2nd round.
You could even invite a moderator that is on often if someone is worried about you stealing their pick (if they sent a list).
Aaron Rodgers is still better than Luck imo. As a Bears fan that takes a lot for me to say but turtle you guys have my favorite player, mega. Told the gf that is the one guy she can sleep with, as long as I get to hang out with him.
In all seriousness tho, NFC North is now a race between the Lions and Packers. Whoever wins the North will be decided in those games.
Other than that teams I'm watching are the Bills and Seahawks. Bills will probably start off cold (#BlameRex) but will get their system down. Seahawks because I'm a bandwagoner at times:p
Also, you guys are forgetting Eli Manning. He's still an oldfashioned white guy QB. (Comeon Stafford get better you shmuck).
OK, make sure NFL.com allows for that. I know Yahoo does and ESPN. I really don't care where it is as long as we do pretty standard settings. I hate when people do huge rosters. You need like QB, WR, WR, RB, WR/RB, TE, K, DEF or something like that.
Bills are doomed. They have no QB and Rex has always been incompetent with offense. I'll be impressed if they manage 8-8 despite that scary defense.
As for Rodgers vs Luck, there is no question it is Rodgers and it isn't even close. Luck throws WAY too many interceptions and jump balls. While I would take Rodgers first in a re-draft, if I absolutely HAD to win one game then I would take Brady over Rodgers.
just for the record Andrew Luck has not been in the league long enough to say he is better than Rogers. Rogers has the best accuracy in the league, and I am a Pats fan, so that is a non-biased opinion.
