Hello! What about a Warlight Forum Parliament? Everyone could found a political party and would have one vote for anyone's party. I like that idea. ;)

Great idea

However one vote per person also known as first takes the post (fttp) is a bad idea since there will be 2 domination parties at the end.

The no of votes a party gets ihas to be as close as possible to the number of seats in parliament , fist we count all the active forumers

Then they either make or join a political party

Vote

Then [the messy times]

This is why fttp does not work in votinng.

However though you need to find a voting system that suits the audience and suits the seats in parliament.

No one wants two dominant parties ;) Your proposal is great. But counting the active forumers might be difficult. Who is considered "active" and who is not? Is one post per week active? Or one post a day? Or one post all two days?...

This would be a good idea for clans, some tried this system (wolves), but did not achieved it to make it fully viable I think.

About political parties

A person makes one

People join

The subforum seats may end up with several political parties on different subforum. Its not a big deal . + it divides some dominating parties (according to overall votes) into smaller chunks proportanilly

Some political members may leave a party or join another or everpn make a new one

Letting people diversely choose what's right and having the rights to creates a party help a community be tightly bound.

I begin with creating my own political party, call it "Labour party of independent mapmakers".

We strive for more recognition/rights within the Warlight's community and demand to get respect points from all of you guys. We also want to bring mapmakers under one union and protect those in need. Each member of the LPIM is willing to help other members when they have problems or question. In this meaning we all can grow strong and work on our ambitious ideas!

Our motto is "Building Quality,Strength,Friendship"

Membership is open to all mapmakers. If you're one of them, join now!

You have me as chairman.

I create a political party called "Go back to the playground" and elect HHH as our leader.

First of all, Why? This wouldn't serve any real purpose, it would just be an election, and then you'd have nothing to argue about.
Second, this is literally the #2 way to start massive fights that end in a locked thread.
Third, You posted this with no ideas or rules or anything to back it up, so it's just kind of "Make it up as you go"

And that is why I don't support this idea at all.

I create a party known as the Anti-Troll Extremists (ATS)

ATS has an ideology on being that mods require power to ban . ATS also sees trolls as a disgrace to the game and must be remove before any harm is done.

You don't have to share the same idealoloyies as me but Trolls are a disgrace , just remember that

I nominate myself a leader

@Only The Pie and everyone else

Ordinary WL players have little to say in the change of the game. Being elected or having voting is a way that players feel hàppy and they feel like there contributing

Like clot , the future of parliment voting is disputed probably sooner or later

It works great for clans tho I agree

@ OnlyThePie Well i think it is a good way to make bounds between players that want to form a union but are in different clans. And it could be a fun way to see peoples political opinions across the globe in a game we love. ;) And this is democracy, my friend, not the Soviet Union. The people will tell their ideas and make their own rules.

True it's not the Soviet Union where Fizzer dictates all.

About Clans , you can't join more than one. Having parties gamewide is a way of integrating people to others that to their views , they dislike. It's a great way for interlocking Clan relationships. At The moment WL has received recent turmoil by Troll attacks and bots.

Then just run a game, this wont have any real value

And it could be a fun way to see peoples political opinions across the globe in a game we love.
Looking at the parties already created, there's little actual politics to this.

And this is democracy, my friend, not the Soviet Union. The people will tell their ideas and make their own rules.
Yes, I'm sure the creator of this game is going to listen to your democracy. Just because rules are created by the players does not mean they will be followed or be required to be followed

@ATalkingFan

Except they aren't contributing anything, because Fizzer is not required to listen to whatever they decide.

Like clot , the future of parliment voting is disputed probably sooner or later
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Have you ever found a game where the community is allowed to decide the rules and what happens? This isn't going to happen.

True it's not the Soviet Union where Fizzer dictates all.
It's more like a dictatorship. No matter what suggestions or "Rules" we make, its up to Fizzer whether to implement it or not

In summary: FIZZER WONT DO IT JUST BECAUSE YALL VOTE ON IT

What about asking Fizzer himself? I am sure he has not declared you as his spokesperson.

And this already has rear political value. Your opinion is it that people who own websites can decide everything about it. We think the community has something to say as well. It is the same with companies in the real world. ;)

Reference "Have you ever found a game where the community is allowed to decide the rules and what happens?"

Even if he says "Oh sure, you guys can vote on stuff and I'll add it" He can always change his mind, he can always say no. What if you all decided "Hey, new rule, you're allowed to post porn and stuff wherever" (i know you wouldn't , just an example). There's no way that would fly, even if it got a 100% vote approval. It just doesn't work when you have a person in power you can't depose.

You did not get my point talking fan, I said that political parties/democracy could be an organization system that you can implement within Clans.

Some clans already tried this organization, but some also failed (not sure of this but I think one clan was "hijacked" because someone won the elections and with bad intentions became a dictator and removed any people against him, kinda funny actually).
