I don't care what some American company is doing. You can only measure a year once you have passed it, you can measure an amount at the middle of the year for the midyear since they're not picking or choosing and there are no new ones coming in for the year. I don't care what MTV has to say about it - they're probably making more money being wrong since if you held 2015 awards in 2016, would not feel so "fresh" to the audience.
