This is all from a recent campaign as Rome on Vanilla Civ IV in the Earth 18 Civs scenario.


-Exploring the entirety of the world by 1200 AD. (And circumventing by 750)

-Meeting America and Aztecs and getting them to destroy each other so that i can steamroll with rifleman (they had same religion) and missionaries.

-Having South America all to myself.

-Treating Inca like my own cute little pet :3

-Conquering Greece, Spain and France while they were still City-States all before 450 AD and colonizing Morocco thus recreating Western Rome.

-Adopting Buddhism after conquering Spain and start running the entire religion. Then i found Confucianism and start the glorious convertion of Buddhists to Confucius (at first 45% of world was Buddhist, at the end now 50% of world is Confucius).

-Owning every religious capital( and making bank from all the religion world wonders)

-Steamrolling Egypt without contest

-Steamrolling Arabia without contest

-Steamrolling Germany without contest ( prats are mean, man)

-Colonizing tons of places

-Getting into a messy but very decisive war with Japan over control of the Indies.

-Ethnic cleansing the barbarous South Africans, Congo, native South Americans (not inca), Australian aborigines

-Lavishing with my Indian, Chinese, English and Persian allies

-Getting bored and mowing down Mali for like 1 resource

-Conquering England because they have 2 of the 5 greatest cities and no other reason really

-Laughing as Russia throws everything they have at me but eventually surrenders and gives me the metaphorical BJ of a lifetime as tribute and war reparations

-Conquering Persia because they are the 2nd highest in points (they have 900 while i have like 2200)

-Despite being able to upgrade I think prats are cooler so i don't upgrade a lot of them to maceman

-Sipping wine as i laugh at all the Plebs that are crushed under my sandal

-Just when i think i might go for domination, space or conquest. ...

-GET FUCKING NUKED BY INDIA WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT I'M FUCKING DONE

-Loading up the auto-save, going to world builder, giving myself nukes

-pre-emptive strike boiii

-Ah that's better. ..

-Enjoying the final screen and laughing at how fast the purple starts to cover the screen

Hey i have a couple of scenario's i made for Civ 4 think it'd be cool if i did some commentary and screenshots for those?

EU4 with provincial upgrades and extended timeline imo is the best combo


nothing better than playing as japan in 2015, getting into a war with china and having 200k+ troops with 130% discipline(lead them into the Himalayas since your helping India out with a 5/5/5/4 general) and get attacked by +800k Chinese troops and fight them off with the enemy losing 400k and you only 80k. Quality+tactics > quality...

Guys, I have always wondered which one is better, Civ 4 or EU4? What are the pros and cons of each of them?

EU4 is simply a better game. Civ 4 may be more fun, but EU4 is just better.
It has more of everything.
Though the fact that most games of EUIv take around 140 hours is bad, I guess

I'd say Civ 4 is much better than even the better games out there. And the fact that it has so much purchasing power on steam, you can get Civ 4 vanilla and the expansions for like $40. EU4 costs around $60 at base game, and like $200 for all the expansions i mean wtf.

Civ 4 BTS also has some of the funnest shit ever : Like Civ in Spaaaace way before Beyond Earth, or Rhys and Fall of Civilization, or After world which is basically a tactical combat simulator.

I'm telling you, Civ has always had a lot of purchasing power and diversity at the base game, but if you take into account the extremely unique scenerios and the cool shit you can make on World Builder. ..

Well i got EU 4 for 70 will all dlc. Steam sales are magical things.

Is there Ulm in Civ? No? Civ is worse.

Also, there's actual diplomacy in Eu4. You can't just declare for no reason.

Civ has Gandhi and Montezuma.
