He does have a close enough argument. He argues that christian fundamentalists are more consistent because they consistently believes what is litterally in the Bibles, while moderate christians, he argues, pick and choses the passages they like best to fit their modern values. He doesn't say it to be hateful though, he is glad that most christians are not fundamentalists ^^

I am not picking and choosing what to believe. In fact, the only place where god wanted being gay outlawed was in the old book with the jews. There is reason why the bible is split into the old and new books. The old book replaces much of gods original laws ( eye for an eye, ect ).


I try my best to be a good Christian and follow the religion I have chosen with my best efforts.

You omitted some key context, when I asked him to "Define normal / acting normal." It was literally one sentence prior to what you quoted. Do we have to go into the whole 'quoting honestly' topic again?

You may not realize it, but 'normal' can have different meanings, and the one you're applying in this case is only one of them.

Conservative:

1). It does speak against homosexuality in the New T.

2). You clearly haven't read the Bible much.

3). You aren't a real Christian. Though admittedly, neither at 98% of professing Christians.

Lord, quote a passage that goes against it saying it should be outlawed. The bible says it is a sin just like stealing or lust but it does not say it should outlawed or banned and everyone practicing it should be killed. What does it say? it says to pray for them and to help them.

Lord, you truly don't know a single thing about the bible, in fact I don't even know exactly where you are coming from at this point. You clearly are just disagreeing for the fun of it. A true Christian will always try to pray, help, and encourage someone out of sin, not act like an idiot and actively trying to ban a sin from practice

I know it is the Old Testament, wich is part of the Bible.
That's why i talked about the 10 commandements, wich are also in the Old Testament, and wich Christians hold very dear. I haven't seen anything in the New testament saying that the Old Testament should be dismissed, in fact Jesus refers to Moses law all the time. And there is nothing in the New Testament saying that the Old Testament laws about homosexuals should be abolished

To provide support for the Old Testament not being applicable:

Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Because, yeah, legalizing gay marriage is totally trying to stop people from singing by commiting homosexuality... that's how you stop them... Also, your saying the Bible says its a sin "like stealing." Stealing is outlawed... your argument does not make sense.
