Wonder who else on WL actually plays it... (I do as well).

It's a really great game. Unlike in EUIV, you control a single character, not an entire country.

It is not your Kingdom once you are dead. Gavelkind is awesome and should be part of modern law, not this stupid roman system that favors individualism.

I made the fucking europe super power by killing all my neighbours and my stupid children are just going to ruin the families work because they want to be cool.

But they ARE cool, they are YOUR children after all. :D

So I expect them to expand the empire not fight amongst themselves like spoilt brats.

Incest is really fun. You can also go for the GoT mod. It's glorious.

I've formed the roman empire twice lol. It's kindda easy with the retinues feature that comes with the legacy of rome DLC.

Tips:
- Just make a full heavy cav. retinue
- Every time there's a revolt, seize titles and give them to your family
- Keep the duchys arround constantinople as royal domain
- Keep the Kingdom of Sicily within your lineage (always give it to your heir BORN IN THE PURPLE), his loyalty will never be questioned and it's a very good kingdom to have as safe.
- Put the noble's taxes as medium, use the money to raise mercenaries and crush rebellions. You'll be so rich you won't even know what to do with the money.


With this empire structure, just go full warmonger and *tadaaa*, you form the roman empire ^^.

My biggest problem was actually to fight the hordes. Try to fight the Astecs at England while you fight the Ilkhanate at Syria, both with 100k+ armies, that's the real challenge.

And that is why you keep the Aztec DLC turned off.

I just pirated CK2, to be honest, though.

Got $250+ of DLC for free :D

I also got a mod that allowed you to... erm "force" unwilling women and torture people to make sure they obey you.... :P :? :/

I like EU4 better because I've played a bit of CK2, and jeez.

My (relative) wants this duchy, my (court member) wants a title, my (person) is trying to kill me, I can never get heirs with (trait).

And when my king dies, I don't have my empire being destroyed by my 4 children.

Here's my advice:

When you first start playing, start out as:

1). A duchy in 1066 Ireland
2). Castille or Leon in Spain
3). A Duke in the HRE 1066 (preferably on the eastern side)
4). Once you understand how inheritance law works better, try out Denmark 760.
