^ thanks for the correction a flag has already been chosen, so the question is will the Kiwis keep their older flag or choose the new one, it's true the current flag is easily confused with the Aussie one. And the union jack reminds too much Mother Britannia.

Silver Fern seems to be the best. Either black and white or black,white and blue.

Red Peak is the only one that resembles anything near a nation's flag to be honest... most flags only encompass straight lines and have a maximum of 3 colors with a logo (Spain, Mexico, Peru etc...), black is also a rare color for a flag. They're very original but also rather... strange. I would be surprised if they end up replacing the current one.

I agree, but then a nation should be able to put anything it wants on it's flag to be fair, if they want to have a picture of a dinosaur on their flag, then I guess why not let them?! ^_^

Anyway, it makes me wonder if other nations will drop the British flag too now...

There's a good chance the British flag won't last much longer anyway, if the Scots had left the UK it would have been changed then anyway...
