I'm experiencing an authentication problem that's preventing me from opening any game. It was fine yesterday.

I am able to login to warlight, click the 'multi player' tab and see the dashboard, but when I try to open one of my games (or enter a new game), I get a pop-up that says:

"Could not authenticate. This can happen if your e-mail address or password changed recently or if you signed into a different account. Please refresh your browser."

Refreshing/reloading does not resolve the error.

I'm on Firefox 45.0, Linux x86_64, Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202.

Does anyone else have a similar configuration, and are you having a similar problem?


I have done the following:

1. sign out of warlight
2. clear all warlight.net cookies
3. exit my browser
4. reboot my computer
5. launch browser
6. go to warlight.net
7. sign in (successfully; my userid and password work normally)
8. same failure when I try to go to a game.

I also tried logging in with a different (friend's) account; same failure.

Any help appreciated.

Try with a different browser. Maybe Google Chrome or even IE.

No I skipped the first part, my bad.

I tried changing my password, logging out and in again. No help.

Another browser to try is TOR.

Mystery solved. This authentication error happens in Firefox (Windows as well as Linux) when you block third-party cookies.
