Big tourneys like ...
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=13403
... need a lot of time to be filled. (This one goes for almost 1 year now)

More invitations are not possible. I guess because there are too many players on the invite list.
Unfortunatly a lot of them are last seen >200 days ago and block new invitations.

My idea to remove inactive players from the invited-list
- by host or automatically
- after a special amount of days, maybe: [boottime]*20

What do you think? Necessary or not? Other ideas?

OFC neseccery, just check when was https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=9044 created! And yeah, bcs too many players are invited - 8* needed to it to start.

Inactive players for more then 60 days should be removed, automatically - that is what I SUGGEST.

That's true, but some people who are active don't bother to click the decline button when they're invited to a tournament that they don't want to join and instead just selfishly ignore it and they don't let someone else take their invite.

I'm in that first one and my teammate hasn't been online for ages, so the problem is not only that the tournament doesn't fill, but once it starts, some people aren't gonna be playing either.

^^ you must have been invited to the tournament before you can join

^ sure that is also a problem that isnt fully solved when tourneys are filled faster. but the chance that they are still active after a week after joining is higher than after one or two years.

It's hard to keep up on the declines when random people are always inviting you to random tournaments. 9 out of 10 tournaments I get invited to, the invite comes from someone I don't know to a tournament with settings that I don't care about.

It's easy to keep up with tournament invites. On your multiplayer dashboard, it tells you if you've been invited to a tournament. When you see that, go to the tournament. If you don't want to join it, click decline. It's not that difficult.

Or afterwards:
Go to tournaments page.
Go to "Past tournaments"
Set filter to "Tournaments I did not decline".
Enjoy Decline button while listening to good music :)
