kasse84 (https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=7117253396) is shortly behind ALE with 23908 games.

But I just found CandyCaned (https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=6834905062) with 28337 games.

Hmm, tried seeing if I'd ever played him to see how good he actually was, but oddly no common games despite how many games he has (I checked all my accounts, not just this one).

I suspect those 1v1's aren't strat 1v1.

None too impressive. Record of 28-29 by my count.

note that some players like to play with multiple accounts, so it's not that easy to compare

1v1: 19186 / 21173 (91%)

Wow

I've seen 96% in his profile (with more than 10k games), but he joined ladder and coin games so the ratio is now lower:P

Kasse mainly plays one and the same template in open games. So his average enemies aren`t that good nor used to the template. His winrate isn`t accurate to his skill.

Min, that's pretty much true of anyone with a win rate above 70% or so. I know I'm nowhere near as good as my current ~80% 1v1 win rate, never mind going so high as 90%.

I disagree. Winrates aren't direct correlation by any means, but it's not remotely unheard of to go over 70% vs. skilled opponents. I've currently won 18 games in a row, there were probably more than 3 good opponents in those games (I just checked, only 2 of the 18 had over 70% winrate themselves), if there were 3 that would imply I can go at least 75% vs. such opponents for example. This account has 24 losses. If we say 24 = 30%, then I'd need 56 wins vs. "good" players to offset that for a 70% winrate vs. good opponents. I'd argue that most likely more than 56 of my 158 wins were vs. good opponents - plus I didn't have 24 losses to good opponents, I admittedly had a few upsets where I just played bad and lost to people I can beat pretty consistently.

I also think krzy's argument is invalid. People with multiple accounts have more accurate winrates not less accurate. This accounts 87% winrate is a more accurate portrayal of how good I am right now than if it had games where I was a new inexperienced player calculated into its winrate.

There's exceptions, but most people I've played that had 85%+ 1v1 were people that were 2000+ on the ladder. Most people I've played that were 70%+ were 1800-1900+ on the ladder.

True Richard, but in this case its worse than normal I think.

@MasterofWarZone, I have an alt with a winrate of 95% all played against people rated within the top 100 or a winrate of 70+ if they weren`t ranked. Yet I`m sure I`m not nearly good enough to be within the 2000+ rating on the ladder. Winrates are a very rough way of telling how good someone is, but I wouldn`t rate an opponent based on winrate. It is too easy to manipulate it or to farm noobs. Winrates say something for the 1% of WL that plays mostly against top players. Most players who play a lot of RT games have an inaccurate winrate.

I wasn't argumenting anything, it was merely reminder that you can't just check profiles to find out 'who played most' - we are all math genius here and we know that two accounts with 15k games is more than one with 25k. I didn't mean anything about winrates.
