After the top 5 all time, let's try to agree altogether on the best top 30 of the moment (I need a ranking from 1 to 30).

I dont know everybody or their level in detail but i'll still drop some names before letting specialists talk =) :

top 3 :

MOD (Masters), Buns (Turtles), MotD (Masters)

top 15 :

Timi (Apex), GreekFreak (Masters), Kryztof (-), Farah (Masters), Hades (Lynx), Chromeo (MH), Aldehyde (MH), Rakleader (SNinja), Beren (ONE), Mike GG (GG)

top 20 :

MIFRAN (GG), Motoki (GG), JV (GG), Culpa (Turtles), USA beaches (Turtles), Nackickwind (Turtles), HotBeachBum (Hydra)

top 30 :

Doesnt matter. Its only a draft. Im waiting for suggestions to update the list :p. So far noone else has been suggested so you're still top 30 in my list. Also dont underestimate yourself :)

Your top #30 should include Andy903 (Lynx), Timon (Apex), and GiantFrog (Blitz). All top class.

Also, we see lists list this a lot - but they are always critically flawed as it begs the question, top #30 in what?

Are we asking who would be the top #30 if everyone on Warlight was part of the 1v1 ladder? Or who would be the top #30 if all Warlight players were part of the real-time ladder? Or who would be the top #30 if everyone played the old 1v1 ladder settings?

There are number of important variables - map familiarity; RT vs MD; map settings, like SR vs WR or MA. The top #30 is going to be different for each.

For example, HotBeachBum afaik only plays 1v1 ladder. Maybe he'll be in top #30 for new ladder settings, but not for the real-time ladder. Whereas, other players have proven themselves to be all-rounded and would probably get into the top #30 for many different things, e.g. Buns157, Timon, and Mifran.

Let me end the discussion about the top 30 active players. In absolutely no order of skill.

My criteria is overall skill on 1v1 2v2 and 3v3s... To be in the top you need to be flexible on all formats. It's mainly about what you've achieved in the past and roughly where you are now, They are both factors in my top 30. All players are still playing in some form which counts as active.

While I don't feel a perfect list exists, I think Platinum's is much better than Mike's.

I'd personally probably have to add le Marseilles and sebb to any top 30 that's based on current performance, their 2v2 ladder run is ridiculously impressive IMO. Easily the second best if not best team on the ladder (only Beren and motd come close).

They're both fairly good at most templates, but 33 wins in a row on the 2v2 ladder isn't merely good, it's phenomenal.

Agreed, terribly underrated players.

Removed Master Atom and added le Marseilles but not Sebb.

I feel Le Marseilles has achieved more in clan league and other ladders then Sebb.

I'm 3-0 against the best 1v1 MOD, and not a negative win-loss rating against any one of Platinum's list... lucky me. xD

Hard to take that list seriously if you don't include me with those criteria. (Did you check the 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and seasonal ladders somewhere in the last half year for example?).

(Although not including me would take sense if you used other criteria.)

As an on-topic reply: pretty much impossible. Top 30 is so wide and very subjective, there's probably already 30 people you could consider for a top 10. If you would ask all somewhat good strategic players (say top 100 in 1v1 or something similar (like top 15 in 2v2, top 50 in a seasonal, ...)) to give you a top 10 of the players that they thing are the best, you'd probably end up with more than 100 names.

I have Math Wolf, I just didn't remember you. I most certainly agree, You are a top 30 active player. Added you and removed MarkusBM.

In my opinion -

1. Master of the Dead - All around best player right now for sure.
2. master of desaster - Best 1v1 player
3. Timinator - All around, tactical player
4. Buns157
5. Sephiroth

Past this point it is very difficult to assess skill objectively, the differences in players are debatable and greater or lesser depending on the day.
