3v3 Great Lakes, same template than last season

Why there is no info in the second post on SR/WR, luck, and Cycle/Random move order ? I think it's important.

More, if you could be perfectly correct, you should put one member of each clan league div A next division in the panel... and if you include one clan of the B, you should include all. Yeah it's a mess, but it's very hard to be perfectly objective - even if it's inconscient - for a clan member.

The template panel doesn't decide what will be played next season. We just cut down the templates to 12 1vs1, 6 2vs2 and 4 3vs3 templates. In the end every A and B clan votes again. If i have to do my work with 10 others, go look for someone else.

you can make 2 independent template panel (it could be small group of 3 or 4 people)
Why is that? Because one group can fail with proper template evaluation like at last WGL that happened

kknd you should know there is a difference between fizzer voting on a template for a seasonal and experienced Players cutting down possible templates for the clan league.

of course you can overcomplicate it and in the end everyone will bash the Panel anyways, no matter the outcome. or you can just let 3 experienced Players divide the trash from the playable templates so the Clans can fuck up the templates on their own again.

The members of the panel are not representing the interests of their clan. They are simply representing the community as a whole and getting to come up with the best shortlist of templates possible. Once you have a representative from each clan, that ceases to be the case. We specifically do not want the decisions at this stage to be made with a specific clan's strengths in mind. If we get the impression that any panel members are trying to game the system for the benefit of their clan that will be removed immediately.

Ultimately, the more people involved in a process, the more complicated it gets, and the less likely it will actually get done in a timely fashion.

I understand that some people may not like it, but MotD and I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to determine templates for CL9. You are free to express concerns, but it is highly likely that we have already spent time discussing any suggestions you might have and determined this system is most likely to result in good templates for us all to play, while also enabling the clans to have some input as well.

I told you that, but I'm ok. It could be clearer, it could have a panel of independant players, but I know it's not professional and it's impossible for now.

Nevertheless, I think if MoD explanations - even if I agree with that in major points - is not exact since if you only keep 12 1v1, 6 2v2 and 4 3v3, you don't deleate the trash templates, but also get out playable ones.

Idem, I hope the community will have choice between Random/Cycle, SR/WR, and luck.

So we know which template will be used in stage 1 and which in stage 2, when we commit our line-up. That is great.

@Krunx, I don't think that is 100% correct. My understanding from MotD was the templates are chosen, the lineups are submitted, then all clans in Division C with a submitted lineup vote on which templates are stage 1 and stage 2. Also, I think all Division C clans should be prepared for the biggest strategic vote in history, with a ton of butt hurt clans where it is so likely everyone is voting for personally good templates stage 1, and the meh templates stage 2.

Another item, Let's Fight brought up a good point in the Clan League sign up thread about the restrictions of game creation with this clot. I think a very relevant metric that should be taken into consideration with all these templates considered is: What is the highest level requirement of a specific template? That is critical to knowing what players can and can't play in a specific slot. And all templates on the short list, I would hope, would have a minimum level required to play attached to them.

This isn't likely to be a problem for the vast majority of players, but some players are below level 50 and there are some maps like China that require a higher level. In those cases, I'm not saying disqualify the template, I just don't want a clan to submit a player with insufficient level required for a template and that cause problems.

Krunx is correct. The Division C clans will be voting on their preferences for templates with respect to Round 1 and Round 2 at the same time as the Division A & B clans will be voting on the templates. After that voting concludes, we will know which templates have been chosen overall, and in particular which templates will be used in Rounds 1 and 2. Once that has happened we will draw the groups for Round 1, which will hopefully happen on a livestream. After this, we will have the call for lineups.

3v3 Great Lakes, same template than last season
If you want Great Lakes, then submit the template when we ask them. Please do not insert templates late into the discussion and bash people if it is missing. We have given numerous reminders for template submissions.

Why there is no info in the second post on SR/WR, luck, and Cycle/Random move order ? I think it's important.
I've told you we'll do the ground work for that once we have a trimmed list. We don't want to go through that process for templates which will be discarded in the end. Before you vote, you will have all the information you need.

While it's true that this panel will get rid of some decent templates too, that is unavoidable. The bigger concern from last season was the number of options. If clans have to vote on 29 1v1 templates, it's much easier to hurt a template you don't like by marking it as the 29th best template.

Idem, I hope the community will have choice between Random/Cycle, SR/WR, and luck.
Unless the same template has been submitted multiple times with different options, this will not be a problem. If a template has been submitted twice with random and cyclic move order, the panel will try to balance the available options and try to have such settings represented across the pool. After that, the ultimate choice still rests with the clans. They can choose to vote for whatever they like.

This suggestion is quite similar to what we're doing right now. Instead of your example, just think of this panel as three individual panels, each making their decision, coming to an agreement and then delivering a set of templates. So essentially, we're debating the number of people required to ensure a good pool of templates. We think 3 is a good number as it helps gets thing done quickly, and at the same time ensures we have diverse opinions.

OK, that is weird that Division C votes on Stage 1 and 2 when the templates aren't known. Seems confusing. Seems easier to do it after the templates are voted on. It can even be done in conjunction with lineup submission as the lineups arent public until after they are all submitted. Saves time and is simpler for clans to vote on.

Simultaneously, all clans in the Qualifier(QF) pool will also rank these templates in the order in which they want to see these templates feature in Stage 1 and 2 (1 being want to see it in Stage 1, 12 being want to see it Stage 2).

Generally I am quite fine with this procedure. Personally I would like to have the best templates of our clan in stage 2 (as there the average skill level will be higher). But how do I vote, to make sure, the templates we want to see in stage 2 are chosen for stage 2?

I have to rank them as low as possible. Thats why I would switch it (1=> stage 2, 12=> stage 1), as it is more intuitive.
