Seriously though, Don't join 5 minute games if you can't take your turn in 5 minutes! Yes, I try to wait 2 times the boot time before I boot someone, they may have connection problems or they reallllly had to go to the bathroom. But some people may play 5 minute boot games because they simply don't have time to wait for people who take longer.

**consider the math**
a 30 turn 5 minute boot game - 150 minutes
a 30 turn 5 minute boot game where you wait 6 minutes each time - 180 minutes

Thats half an hour they might not have!

Yes, he did get booted after 5 minutes. But the 5 minutes before that he asked everyone to wait while he went to get some food. Even if he was only in the lobby, no proof either way, he should never have created a game and then assumed everyone needed to wait for him to finish eating, reviewing his teammate's picks, wiping the grease off his keyboard, etc...

I understand what you're saying, but he did get booted in the initial turn right at boot time, which is underhanded, if not against rules, and considering that I personally have been sitting waiting for members in a RT game for a half hour or more, it's not unrealistic to expect it to take a bit of time to collect players... nothing wrong was done by the word of the rules, just unsportsmanlike behavior, the leading cause of dissapointment in open seat games..

There's no need to get so worked up about it. Blacklisting is a personal thing. Some people want to boot at the 5-minute mark, others like not having to worry about slipping over the time-limit on occassion. The Blacklist keeps those players seperate. No need to get angry over it or try and discuss the pro's and cons of different playstyles.

lazer the herkman wasnt even there. i really dont know why he is distorting info. i made a game and took less than 4 min to make a sandwhich while the loby filled up. with all the prerequisites i have it is very rare it take less than 10 min to fill up. so asuming every one joined the very second i left they had to wait 3 min and some change. now durring the distribution my teamates are slow to pick and i have 20ish seconds to reply to "play or kick" review and chose. now i say im waiting on my teamates and get booted at the very second it hits 0. i made this thread shortly after out of anger not to argue the rules or complain to fizzer. but for the sole purpose of geting some people to BL. foolish i know. The info is misinterperated. If you would read threads before you post you would have seen this explanation to whatever theherkmans attempt to either save face of misunderstood events or just flat out distort on purpose idk. he keeps insisting that they waited 10 min and that im lying??? and wasnt even there. btw. I really would like for this thread to go away. because im tired of deffending false info. but i would rather not have people just spouting off replies based off somones false or missinterperated posts without reading my replies.

Taking more than 5 minutes is tantamount to cheating. And it's boring and against the rules.

I've played 1539 games as of this post, and only been booted 20 times.

The VAST majority of my games are auto 1v1, and have a 5min boot time.

I make sure I get the job done in 5minutes and make sure I have about an hour before I start a game.

I get the job done in 5mins, or I EXPECT A BOOT.

90% of people on here are fine, but 10% are douches, and you need to be ready for them.

After i read your post I come to the conclusion that most of you don't know what they are talking about.
You play your 1on1's boot each other when the timer is right, believe this to be good and true and then brag in the forum how disciplined you kept it up not getting booted. Good bros! You are the future! The world needs you! Now return to your 1on1s and keep booting each other.

Playing a 3on3 is completely different matter. You set up a game and wait. Sometimes a short while, sometimes a very long while for it to be filled. So its fairly common to go and eat something , or go and get smoke, call your girlfriend or take ride around the block.
In a 1on1 you set it up, someone joins "DANG, The game is up!"

So Dio saying he is getting a sandwhich is absolutely common and by no means stalling the game.

Second:
When you play a 1on1 you know what to do. You select your spots and commit your turn.
In a 3on3 you have to wait! You check the spots picked by your teammates and pick accordingly, sometimes you need to undo, sometimes you need to coach ... all cause you dont play ALONE you play in a team against a team.
And the reason why you do it is, cause you want the teams to be humans and have a nice challenging match.
Most people (or at least the ones that are left and not blacklisted) that play 3on3 understand that and have no problem with it. Occasionally players join, that boot right when the timer drops to 0. Sometimes, they just have no experience with 3on3s and will do differently after a couple of games played, sometimes they are just idiots, that want their stats enhanced.

This is the situation Dio wanted to tell the players that think alike about. Yes he was angry and yes the ball bounced from one side to another. But the players that play 3on3 often know exactly how to evaluate the situation and will most likely blacklist, cause they made the same experience often enough and hate it the most.
Someone comming in booting right at the timer and screwing up a game that you eventually waited a long time for, Guys like that earn an instant blacklist in most 3on3.

Ok, fire hand lady, I play 2v2, and have played 3v3.

5mins is not long enough, and the territory picks at the beginning, should be one of the quickest turns.
When that takes FIVE MINUTES then you can imagine turn 10 will be a bitch.
Maybe the other team were a bit rash, as there turns would most likely run over 5mins at times.

But dioninususi created the game with a 5min boot.
Which makes him a dumpling when he then COMPLAINS about it.

You miss the fact his whining is futile.

I'd say the territory picks at the start of the game are one of the longest rounds. It can win or lose a game, especially if you're playing with people you don't know.

Bonch your wrong. In 1v1 yes, you should be able to take turns within 5. But in a team game, you need to communicate. Sometimes when i have a new player on my team, i check their orders, offer advice, etc and need a couple more mins. Sometimes browsers crash. PC's need restarting. A parcel arrives. The phone rings. My supermodel wife needs help with her stretches.

On a 5min game, i always give 10 mins unless extra time is asked for. Turns 1,2&3 i offer a vote. Not many people can complain at getting booted at 10 mins and generally if they haven't moved at 10, they aren't going to.

Vapor is right. Play 10% banking boot. Take your turns quickly - get extra time if/when u need it.

Play with a bit of courtesy and friendliness people. If not, go play call of duty.

And no, although in the first turn picks do take time, they should not be one of the longest turns. Therefore, they become one of the quickest.
