I know cheating in warlight is not possible. But consider this case:
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=12633545

The game dialog pops up and tells that the fastest to commit will receive their selection in case of a conflict.
I picked a territory in Bolivar and a backup in nearby bonus.
Danny who is my opponent picked very slowly and commited later than me.
However, when it is turn 1, it appeared that I lose Bolivar to him and get the backup instead.
I was just curious how can this happen. It is ok to lose a single game even if he can really cheat anyway.
Thanks

To determine the speed of the players, the timer starts when they click on the begin button and close the dialog. Not when the game starts.

You can check your times in Menu/Players. Danny might have picked later than you did, but he also clicked on the begin button later. And he made his picks in 3.5s, faster than you, so he got his first pick.

The timer starts counting when you dismiss the message telling you who gets first pick.
From your side there is no way to tell when he dismissed this message.

It can look from your side that it took him one minute to commit. While he actually didnt dismiss the message for 40 seconds and then took his turn in 20.

Since he takes his turn in 20 seconds then that is the time the game will count, even if it might seem longer from your perspective.
