I agree. Anyone using absolutist policies in the name of religion isn't doing it right, if you ask me. And secularism must be enforced to an extent but a democracy should allow religion to touch all things including politics. Plenty of politicians could use a stronger moral compass.

Adultery and homosexuality are not separate issues.

I wasn't saying that homosexuals will or won't commit adultery. All I was saying is that homosexuals commit adultery also. You were attacking the one thing (adultery) while keeping the other thing (homosexuality) separate from it, it seemed like.
