I don't get why anyone would doubt Tabby's narcissism. He's outlining a nazi state that would rip out people's and animals' limbs so that he could have more sex. He's almost like an Elliot Rodger clone.

maybe when the tails started (when there were lots of peafowl) to get passed down that was the reason. but they are now seen as a good way to judge how well a male can survive in the world. Thereby passing down the genes we need. and it's not like we can just get rid of the tales. that's not how genetics work.
