This predictions post is based on the 18 responses I received from the online poll. All are entirely valid responses, not at all fake in anyway since I checked all the responses, and those emails I was collecting to sell to my hacker friend checked out. Some of my favourites were:

With the exception of Hydra and FCC, there is a consensus on the expected placement of 7th Heaven, TJC and Statisticians, and Lu Fredd. In fact, all but two posts put 7th Heaven first, Master of desaster and Onoma94 being the exception. And all but two put Lu Fredd last place, Lucien Muller and tgggh (his keyboard must have been stuck when typing his name) being the exception.

So, for both Hydra and FCC people doing really know what to do with them. FCC was place second place more then Hydra, but more people thought Hydra would come in 3rd then FCC. Overall, this confirmed my sense that it should be a tight race between FCC and Hydra. Regardless, Clan League has been a big boon to FCC which has recruited heavily on the backs of being the new 'up-and-coming' strategy clan which is solid strategy. FCC knows they need to increase their depth and next season that shouldn't be a problem at all.

Statisticians are expected to be in third place and I do think people are underestimating them a bit too much here. I think of them being more competitive with FCC and Hydra then these results show. Lu Fredd is already a winner this season for making it is C. Ride that wave baby!

I wanted to comment on a curious thing that happened to me after I brought up all the alts in TJC's lineup and said they weren't a serious clan. Now, that was a stupid statement of me. I should have said "not a serious clan in clan league" as that was the meaning of my post to say. But alas, I opened a can of worms.

But I did get an interesting message from TJC management in an open recruitment message!



I mean, joining TJC would be honour to be among some of the best alts in Warlight! Its a tempting offer.

Wow, i see lots of hate and underpredictions for my clan. I think our 1st 2v2 win will be a big upset to Onomo's prediction having beaten his toplister in 2v2 final earth.

A few surprises so far, but things seem to be lining up with the general consensus on the clans predicted by you reading this. But with a small sample size of completed games for two clans, Hydra and TJC, their results are the most in question still.

Some thoughts so far:

• Lu Fredd has been booted from two games so far on 3v3 EU. I would have hoped Division C would avoid the boot issue that has hit all divisions this season. This may show that booting is a systemic issue. At the very least all clans are joining games in Division C on time.
  
• In what should be considered an earth shattering upset, the Statisticians 2v2 Final Earth team of Math Wolf and Yeon (top ranked on the 2v2 ladder and a heavy weight in the tournament) were defeated by Lu Fredd. While Lu Fredd's team is solid, I doubt anyone was expecting this. Even with this great sign from Lu Fredd, it is the only ray of light for this so far this stage with 8 losses so far.
  
• Statisticians seems to off to a bad start, at least in my opinion. I was expecting a strong showing from the clan but with several early losses piling up to 7th Heaven, FCC and Lu Fredd, its up to Statisticians to pull together and challenge those clans above them more. The loss on 2v2 Final Earth from their star players while losses from their weaker players have come in, their star players may not be able to paper over the chasm between their top and bottom players.
  
• I would qualify FCC's start are pretty good raking up several wins, while all their losses have come against 7th Heaven which likely were expected and therefore are sunk points.
  
• Related to FCC, their performance and high number of completed games (along with 7th Heaven) means eyes should turn more to Hydra and TJC now to see how they are actually performing as their slow performance makes them wildcards. And since both Hydra's and TJC's win comes exclusively from Lu Fredd games, and with Lu Fredd racing towards the bottom of this division, Hydra and TJC haven't won games against strong opposition yet.
  
• 8-0 for 7th Heaven is a superb start and I doubt anyone see 7th Heaven finishing below 1st place anymore. We are looking at the first place clan and a future Division B clan here. They are making this look easy.

In summary, things have simmered now a bit in this division. All the clans got to puff their chests a bit at the beginning. Now with games finishing the rubber has hit the road a bit and I guess the time for bragging is over. Results speak louder then words ever could.

But going forward into week 5 and beyond its time for Statisticians to prove themselves as a competitive clan in Division or else they will be written off as an also ran in 5th place. Lu Fredd has shown a flash of strength even as losses pile up. FCC is showing strength in their clan strategy of 'Clan League First' to build their clan might be paying off generally and in Clan League this season. Hydra at 2-1 hasn't faced strong opposition yet in their games and with there likely being 3 promotion spots from C to B, finishing 4th place again would be yet another Clan League disaster for the clan in Clan League. At this rate, the question is more of when 7th Heaven clinches promotion then if they do. And TJC was here too, so they merit a mention.

What makes you think there will be 3 teams promote? I doubt any teams that are slated to be in Div A for CL10 will not participate, so what potential B teams do you think are at risk for not returning to CL?

Blitz is your best chance of your a clan hoping for someone to drop out.

I was very confused by looking at 2v2 China 2nd game from above report. Report (based on CL) says, the game is Hydra vs. Lu Fredd, and the payers in the game are from NWO, Hydra, FCC and Lu Fredd. I understand that its according to rules and so on. Buts its a parody of Clan League. Its the same like seeing L. Messi wearing Argentina colors and playing for Mexico in Confederacy Cup.

To respond to Cid and others. I understand that is according to the rules. I do not suggest to change result, lineup or take any other actions in CL9. I just say that in this particular game we can see parody created according to the rules. Maybe we should introduce CL FFA games, where representatives of all clans in division fight?

And one more interesting fact is that Lucien Muller is fighting for Lu Fredd, while being in FCC clan, which is fighting in the same division :[]

Benoit wanted to play in CL this season, so he got into in Hydra before the time lineups for CL were submitted, and he agreed to play for them this season. His alt is the leader of NWO, which is not participating this season. That is allowed by the rules of CL, as long as one person is not playing for different clans in the same season.

As was also done in Q3, Statisticians decided to give the other clans a headstart to at least allow them a fair chance to compete and make things more interesting and entertaining for everyone during the stretch. Seems like one of our players didn't get that memo. ;-)
